Uber introduces new safety measures effective May 18

    - Masks/face covers are mandatory for passengers and drivers.

    - No front seat passengers to allow more distance between passengers and driver. This eliminates one passenger seat so an UberX passenger maximum is now 3.

Can’t believe it wasn’t already their policy. I couldn’t imagine climbing in to one without a mask, let alone driving one with unmasked passengers behind me.

Thanks, Bre. Hopefully this doesn't get driven off the rails.

Do the drivers provide the mask?
Guessing not as that would be cost prohibitive to them unless there’s a reimbursement from Uber/Lyft. Maybe will have to keep the one in my pocket that the resort hands out in case I need it for things such as this

I drive Lyft here in Vegas.
I always wear a mask, and encourage my passenger to do so as well.
I spray all seat belts & door handles with lysol after every passenger.
I wipe down the seat (leather) with clorox wipe.
