    Hi all,

I'm staying at Planet Hollywood in April and need some feedback on room types (as YouTube hasn't been super-helpful). I currently have a decently discounted rate on an "Ultra Resort room" ($30/nt), and a not-so discounted rate ($85/nt) on the "Ultra Resort Vista Room". Can anyone provide feedback on the quality of the Ultra Resort, and what difference the "Vista" makes, or if it is a different room type altogether? I'm curious if the difference is noticeable enough to justify the $50/nt difference, or if I should just whip up a $20 sammich and hope for the best. I also have roughly the same price difference between a Red and a Burgundy room at Paris if anyone wants to convince me that is a better deal. I'm new to both from a hotel perspective and just want a nice spot for my wife and I.

    Any feedback is welcome!

Book the least expensive room you'd be ok with. Then do the $20 sandwhich and see what you can score.. Be very specific on what you want in the room.. My success rate at PH with the $20 trick is 100%. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. This past December the $20 trick got us a petite suite at Caesers, and an upgrade at the Mirage. We were comped at both resorts. I'll use the trick again at the PH, where we are also comped. We haven't stayed there since it was the Alladin...for some reason my wife loves the casino/resort, and if she is happy so am I.

We really enjoy PH it is our Vegas go to resort even over Caesars. We have stayed in the Panorama Suite, the Boulevard Suite, the Strip suite, the Ultta Hip room and the Ultra Resort Vista. For my wife and I our favorite is the Ultra Vista Resort room, a nice smaller suite with great views and for the 2 of us plenty big. We would rather have back-end comp dollars available and not have to live up to more play than we can afford (if we are having a bad run). The other thing with us right now is having a new host and not wanting to over extend ourselves. Hunter had been our host and knew our history and our new host is just learning (yes, I know they have a program that shows our play...Hunter was able to hook us up with a lot of neat comps).
When we had friends or family with us we love the Panorama to show off and have the 2 room suite but just for the 2 of us the Resort Vista is great...............................Rick

I love Planet Hollywood, its just so central to everything. The rooms are always nice, check-in is always a breeze. $20 trick always seems to work. The only thing I wish are for the CWs to come around more often but thats neither here nor there.
