there is a whole 2nd floor to the property that was never developed because they went into bankruptcy right after opening way before CET had anything to do with them. it is the size of the first floor. they are finally starting to do something with upstairs which includes a new restaurant and possible kids daycare type area, who knows what else

the palm room will still be in that spot by high limit but will be for 7*

for the new diamond lounge, you will go up the escalators in masquerade, not much up there besides some offices so it will be interesting to see what they do

as I said, when will this take place, who knows, might not be till sometime next year that it is all said and done

It's been a few years since I've been there. Do they comp drinks while playing?

yes and no...if you are on tables and playing and are diamond or 7*, you get comped drinks, same for slots...if you are not diamond or 7* it depends...not sure what platinum gets you but my friend plays big at boyd properties as one is right by him. he has a gold card at harrahs and only goes a few times a year, he will play a few hundred through slots, usually $3 a spin. he told me the other day he was only able to order draft beer on the machine so he ended up paying for his drinks $2 per bud light...not sure if it had any other alcoholic drinks to choose from...

on the tables for other than diamond/7 I know you get most drinks everyone else gets while playing and its usually well crap, I do know that you have to be at least diamond to get red bull

i asked daryl from 7* insider if he heard anything like that and he said they tried this in A/C, Vegas and philly and all stopped it but at the time, the higher your play and card, the better brand you would get, so hopefully they stop it here soon

ok, now things are changing yet again...they didnt close the palm room yet for cleaning and such as they said possibly around Dec 1st for a week, and may not do this as an employee said they are cleaning it little by little after hours...they did close the bathrooms for a "Remodel" and all i noticed as i went in there during and after construction and they replaced 5 tiles on the wall and took the seat to ass protector thing off the wall

now heres where I was told different just recently, they will not have a separate diamond lounge and 7* lounge...in the 45-60 days Dan Real was talking about, im guessing that is when they will move the lounge upstairs, to a bigger, new diamond/7* lounge...that will leave the palm room as, who knows what then

    we shall see...
