    So...I was reading the article AGAIN, its from 2016 about Monte Carlo renovation and transforming into The Park MGM... my question is what do you guys think about MGM idea opening all above; The Park & T Mobile Arena and soon to be call The Park MGM hotel?

    My take on these;

    T Mobile arena & Park Theater; when I first heard about it... concerts in Vegas? Who the hells gonna go concerts in Vegas? But since it's opening I already been to several concerts and now, I'm adjusting my trip to Vegas so I can squeeze concerts - matter fact August trip is part of attending Lady GaGas concert and September trip is lined with iheart radio concert!! So it's a wining idea for me!

    The Park; I personally don't like it - I think it was/is bad design, I don't see/feel any Park settings.

    New Monte Carlo hotel; The Park MGM; I know they are doing serious construction and redesign the rooms but as I recall casino ceiling is low &a very smoky not to mention rooms were very small... I wonder how are they going to make it "high end" like Aria or cosmo? Any ideas?

    Just want to hear what you guys thought about MGM doing whole "the park thing" you think it will pay off in long run? I'm not quite sure how successful they are with this projects?

    Just wondering, what made you think that?

    Well first I was thinking Vegas was for gambling & just shows .... then it kinda made sense it just flowed right next to all the shows. Again, now we are planning our trips with concerts with mind. Lol.

    The Park is "ok"........seems like not enough dining options, especially when compared to the vast array within the Linq. Still, there'll be plenty of nearby places for fans to hang out pre and postgame once the NHL starts.

    I really have no idea what to make of the hotel remodel. By Vegas hotel standards, Monte Carlo was finished in the blink of an eye, and even though not that impressed when I first walked through right after it opened in '96, found it sort of a nice respite compared to all the themed places (and now we miss those!). They are spending more on the remodel than on the original hotel! There have been very few renderings made available since the project was announced to form an educated opinion. It looks like the pool area has been completely torn out, so it'll be interesting to see what the new one looks like.

    From a casino floor perspective, I hope that they don't try to replicate the one at MGM National Harbor in Maryland. Nice enough casino, but too cramped, IMO.

    As long as they're not adding two or three new CVS or Walgreen's over there, it's all okay with me! :D

    Fun to see the new entertainment venues pop up. Just adds to the wonder of the town IMO...

    I've found The Park makes a lot more sense with alcohol! :beer:
    (So did my taxes this year. :drunk: Say, when's my $54,393,435.74 refund check going to get here?)

    Yes I agree perhaps once everything is in place maybe it will work out better... I can't wait till see how they remodel Monte Carlo ... as I recall rooms are small compare to other higher end hotel and I can't imagine people paying Aria or wynn pricing for those rooms I'm sure it will look nice tho.

    I've mentioned this in other threads but the whole "Park" promenade thing just seemed seriously rushed to me. They wanted to get something in place to support the arena, but over a year later and it's still the same 4 meh offerings in there. Maybe some more things will open up on the MC side when they finish building that out, but right now it's a big nothing. For sure the whole front end of the MC will be redone, Diablo's will close, Yusho's on the way out, and when I asked the guys at Double Barrel last night if they were going to be there long term they gave me shrugs, they have no firm commitment. Sure looks like they're going to go higher end out there.

    I echo your point too that a 400 sq ft room is going to be hard to take very upscale. Unless they're going to knock a ton of walls down and expand the rooms I can't see paying even MB prices for a room that small. The Linq got away with it on tiny rooms because they didn't try to go TOO upscale and they kept it funky and fun and cheapish.

    Yeah I totally agree with you .... I wish they had more "park" settings I had my teenagers kids there and they really didn't care for it either art pieces are ok but that's it... there just more street performers. I would like to have seen more trees maybe some grass area and more seating environment.
    I can't wait till see how they gonna do MC...to me Vegas hotels are all about "sizes" biggger the better... any hotel in Vegas if you are paying premium then you expect 1,000 sq ft suites!! Like you said unless you knock down tons of walls... but I don't think they will I think they gonna just try to remodel the room I'm sure it will look nice but we shall see.
