I've never stayed there but I do gamble there on occasion. I've been getting lots of offers from them recently (at least twice a week by email).
I only play craps there and very infrequently. Maybe they're hurting for business?

Correct, unlike CET I can't figure out how the Cosmo points, which are actually comp dollars, accumulate so I have no idea how much $$ I run thru there machines in a day.

So CET bases on cash loss even at low level? Because I ran about $4000 through Paris and nay a single free day even at Rio on my rate calendar. I did walk away about $300 up, so I have come to the conclusion that is what happened. I know it is a micro rolling amount but I have heard people play significantly less and get a few low level property free nights through CET.

Cosmo has sent me a few free nights in the past. If it is based on coin in, I am considering doing my 4 night stay there next month to see what happens. Cosmo is my home always and I do love the casino. Luck has been 50/50 in the slots. Not a huge amount of losses but not huge wins either.

    $6/pt on video poker
    $2.50/pt on slots
    Spending $1 gets 5 points

At sterling and gold you get 2x points. At platinum you get 3x. The multiplied points don't count towards tier, those accumulate at 1x.

Like clockwork, new Cosmo offer today. Valid February 18, 2016 - April 13, 2016. My last few offers only span 8 weeks, they used to be 12 to 16 weeks.

Curious if your offer was by mail or email? I am still trying to figure out how these guys work. I feel I've been overcomped there (thank you Cosmo) so not sure if they are done with me or if something will be forthcoming.

Today was an email. I always get my email about a week before I get something via snail mail. I expect to get a post card in a few days with the same exact info.

    BayouBengal,

How many visits do you make and how much do you gamble there?

Im an Identity Platinum (through spend at the hotel) and used to get free offers a while back but I gamble little. I want to gage how close I am to getting new offers again based on my gambling currently vs others.

    Thanks

In 2015 I will have done 3 visits to Vegas and have gained Identity Gold. But if your status is primarily through spend you won't see much in the way of offers on top of your status level benefits. I have seen my offers go up and down over the years in accordance to my gambling level. In my experience the floor is around $6k coin-in for video poker gets the Mon-Thurs w/ resort credit for weekend nights. I have really cut down on my table play at Cosmo for a variety reasons and I've seen my comps go down from 4 days to 2 days even though I have increased VP play.

Okay interesting insight. I would often combine my platinum benefits (2 free nights, 2 comp nights, resort credit ) with the sun-thursday free night offers to make for some great weekends. But since my gambling has dropped those offers have also gone away. $6k coin-in is manageable. I think I may keep track going forward as you have done.

That $6k is daily coin-in btw and then minimal table play of maybe an hour at $15 roulette and an hour or two at $10/$15 craps. On my next trip I will be combining my Gold benefit with a couple of nights via an offer.

So although you dont get identity points for table play, for purposes of offers, even at those low limits, its necessary to have a mix of play (i.e., daily coin-in plus low limit table games?)

Theoretical loss is king I assume. They probably don't care how, just how much.

No you don't need a mix, all machine or all table or a mix is fine as long as it adds up to enough.

Supposedly, while you earn don't Identity Points in the form of points you can use like cash, you do still earn Tier Credits, which in the case of Cosmo actually matters. But they don't really describe the method, and I haven't seen anybody give an account since they made the change.

Anyone get the offer for the "REVEAL Giveaway" over New Years?

Apparently it's to introduce the new high limit slot room? I didn't even know they were building a new slot room.

Maybe that is what they are doing in that dead area of casino near the lucky cat. I saw someone show that area empty in a tr or a post. I always thought their high limit slot area was small

The new HL room will be where part of the old sports bar was.

They will be next to each other.

I was told they would be adding additional tables where the slots are.
