Well something is better then nothing.
I am in the boat of "could have hit 75k but with no benefit I went elseware"
3 trips to Vegas this year and only 1 of them I stayed at CET. I am 300 points shy of 25k (I will get that on my November trip)

But honestly, even if I knew about the airfare at 75k I dont think I would have changed my play since you can not book other offers if you use the airfare

The airfare credit must be used to go to Las Vegas

They could have waited until January. I'm thinking they hope this will bump up visits and CET's numbers for 2019.

So if I surpass 25,000 tier points this year will I be diamond or diamond plus for 2020? I am guessing just diamond and will have to get 25,000 in 2020 to get free laurel lounge access. Any thoughts?

Probably unlikely, but I wonder if they’re going to allow multiple redemptions that total $600? My flight to Vegas is normally under $300.

You will be plus next year if you earn 25k this year. That's pretty much explicitly what it says in the email...they want you to get points now to get the special card in February

What I read was that if you hit 25K this year, you could go get your fancy new card on February 1. Although I'm not seeing any new benefit other than being called "Plus".

So if you use the offer, you can't stay 5 nights at a CET and then 2 nights, say at Cosmo?

Correct; there's a double TCs during october promo and another promo where TC earned for the rest of 2019 will be awarded as 2020 TC making october a great time to go. Also the GGWU event is 11/1, so its not a bad idea to arrive at the end of October, earn TC and collect your gifts on 11/1.

In the past that was the combined maximum redemption value for up to two people; I doubt they'll let you dip into the air credit multiple times.

According to 7* insider dot com, it states "for several days" before or after your trip but its not clear on the limo situation which is included in the retreat package. I would call CR and ask to be sure.

Doubtful and it's probably a one time use offer. Similar to the Celebration Dinner, if you don't use it all you forfeit the remainder. You probably have to submit proof (airline receipt) as well.

I used the retreat last year, you have to go to the rewards desk and they'll have you email proof although I wonder if you could email it to your host to forward to them ahead of time. Also the reimbursement was in the form of free play.

Starting from zero, and without any other occasional TC bonuses (like the 2x bonus running right now), it takes 10 PIAD gaming days (2500 TC base + 5k TC bonus; or: $12.5k slot coin-in / $25k VP coin-in) to make Diamond Elite. Consideration for Seven Stars would still take 10 DIAD gaming days -- and one would deserve consideration consistently coining in $25k on slots or $50k on VP in a single day.

I am just barely at the level of having the most junior of junior hosts with CET, without much incentive to more than double my daily action and number of CET gaming days to chase after Elite. I would much rather put $600 of my own cash right in my pocket than generate 20-50 times that in theo (and almost definitely way more than that in actual loss) to chase an airfare benefit. I am quite content with the "base" Diamond benefits (no resort fees, Celebration Dinner, free lower-end shows if I want them), so it will take quite a bit more at the Plus level to make it worth forcing in 4-5 more of my typical gaming days over the next two months to make Plus, or 30 more typical gaming days in that time to make Elite.

With CET, I predict that the tier match will stay for gaming year 2020, but likely disappear by gaming year 2021. Also, the TC thresholds will almost assuredly increase for gaming year 2021.

This new benefit is a nice surprise! I admit I'm a risk-taker and "expected" that some new tier benefit like the $600 airfare would be offered, especially considering there was really no point in moving past 25,000 TC before.

I only became diamond recently and with October's double TC promotion, I should be at roughly 60,000 TC by the end of the month. With only 15,000 TC left to 75,000 TC, this new "free" benefit is icing on the cake!

Someone mentioned the airfare is ONLY to Las Vegas and is for up to 2 people. Has this always been the case? It makes sense they want you to go to Las Vegas, but I was hoping it could be for travel anywhere. Also, I've never taken a free travel offer before. Is the cost to get from the airport to Las Vegas (or another casino) paid out of pocket, or is it somehow included?

So this is actually an enhancement of benefits (so far). Unless I am wrong, which I often am, if you passed 25K tier credits in October, you would already be diamond, but would not be charged the 1000 reward credits to enter the Laurel Lounges, but in the next year, when your tier credits reset, you would retain diamond, but you would be charged the 1000 reward credit until you passed 25,000 in the next year. Having a diamond plus allows you to retain the free access to the laurel lounges for the entire next year.

Maybe it was always this way and I misunderstood it all along. Even if it is an enhancement, I do not think it is worth chasing as getting an additional 10,000 tier credits to move from retaining basic diamond to Diamond plus to save the equivalent of $10 a lounge visit will require a lot of visits to make the effort break even. Even with the 2x multiplier in effect, and using the bonus, the easy way to get the extra 10,000 tier credits, would be 2,500 in a day, which is about 25,000 coin in with about a 3-5% theo for CET VP without royals, which "costs" about $750 to $1250. Breakeven would be 75 to 125 visits to the Laurel lounges.

I think taking the 25,000 VP coin in somewhere else might generate better offers elsewhere, but YMMV.

I think the airfare bonus at 75K is definitely an enhancement, and gives some medium rollers something to shoot for after getting the first 25K.

I'm usually an optimist, but with all these seemingly player friendly updates happening, I am wary of what may be leering around the corner.

For those of us that have a few premium cocktails in the lounges (and bring a guest for free that does the same), the break even point is far less than that.

Aside from that, there is no change to the 25k level, other than it has a new name. I reached 25k tier in 2018, so I have free lounge access thru Jan 2020.

OK, Its good to know that making 25K in year one, means the free access to the lounges doesn't go away in January or February of the next year. I thought only the tier stayed (Platimum, Diamond, etc.) but thought you had to be 25K or higher currently showing to get in for free regardless of what you built up last year.

    I learned something. Thanks!

Currently, with diamond (and 7*) you can get free drinks at various CET bars in Vegas; Ballys, Paris, PH and Cromwell is where I've personally got free drinks from. They did give me a grey goose yet I'm unsure how top shelf they'll go. However who knows if they'll be keeping this perk.

I am astonished (but I suppose I shouldn't be) at the number of people complaining about this. For the first time in a while it looks like a company heard the complaints (too big of a gap between diamond and 7 stars) an reacted to it in a way that was positive. They could have easily closed the gap by saying platinum is now 15 K, regular Diamond is 30 k, and lounge access at 75 k and 7 stars at 150. Instead they heard the complaints ( I know I complained to my host) and maybe saw the impact in the bottom line of revenue dropping off after people hit 25k and now offer a reasonable incentive. I for one think it's great because nearly every other company would have found a way to make things worse and tell us it makes it better.

This is an everything stays as is, but they give it names like we already did 25k Diamond in 2019 had lounge access until Jan 2021. Now DIamond plus from this year gets the same thing. They add an elite level at exactly the half way point to seven stars with a $600 credit perk. This is really only a perk to people working to 7 stars since it's negligible relative to the risk. It's also a thank you to those who didn't hit 7 stars but didn't stop playing at 25k for their loyalty which is nice.

The state clearly states the 600 airfare credit can be combined with standard comped rooms through the calendar. They just won't let you combine an offer of FP and RC with a flight credit. I am also sure hosts will figure out a workaround.

If this is the direction things are going as a result of the merger I actually think it's a positive
