Being a decent blackjack player who is youngish and on his own, not giving your card over, I wish a pretty girl would stare at me like the floorman does.

It would be nice if they had a “hospitality only” way to book rooms though.

If I’m in Vegas for business I still like to stay at the same hotels and won’t claim any offers for it (because expenses duh) but then it’s still linked to my player card for easy status so shows me as not playing. Shame I can’t swap my resort fee discount for free play too :D

Is there any harm in giving my players card over when I’m dining at a hotel but not staying there? Say I am staying at the Cosmo and have brunch at the Bellagio and pay cash/card, I would always include my MLife card to get more points, is that correct?

Yea, that's so annoying! I want to stay at the casino because my company is paying but at the conference I can't be gambling since I'll be busy

Maybe it links, maybe not. If you do not give them your number, how do they know you are staying there?

There are lots of people with the same name as you. No idea if they so some sort of lookup to see if you are a TR member based on address, etc. If you are concerned with it causes a low play/no play stay - adventure a bit and try some other hotels. There are lots of them!

As to playin while at a conference... that applies to some people. Some get done at 5pm and still play till after midnight. Different strokes for different...

I just mean I use my number at booking time. Not to claim offers but it’s easy points for status. I can get near gold for mgm or Cosmo with one trip without going near a table. Plus with Cosmo you ultimately get more Marriott points from them having both numbers. Hotel points are basicaly the only positive thing about work travel. (RIP SPG)

I’m sure if a human looks they would decipher it but the computers probably don’t so I don’t imagine I’ll ever get much whilst I keep doing this as they don’t know whether it’s a trip with an adt approaching zero. Or $1500 a day. it’d be nice if it was all just laid out nicely and you *knew* if you didn’t claim offers and stayed then it’s not going to affect your play evalution.

My own fault completely, just annoying.

You have to decide if you want points for status, or want to skip those points and keep you ADT higher for better comps.

For many, they reach Diamond anyways, so earning extra points has zero value.
