I am considering signing up for this service (I am so behind-the-times!) and wanted to throw this out to the Board and get your thoughts.

Let me hear from ya! Thanks!

Yay.

Unless you can't get reasonably fast internet at a reasonable price.

Nay, never had it, probably never will, however, I get bulk pricing on cable & internet through my homeowners association

if you sign up you get a free month "trial" so you have nothing to lose by giving it a shot!

Netflix led to binge watching seasons of shows. It's a cheap 9.95 a month. They also produce a lot of proprietary content as well.
As Breeze said... try the trial month. There is no contract and you can discontinue at any time.

Yes! I love Netflix. Not only do they have great movies but they had some great original series. I love The Ranch.

We are Netflix degens. :) Have had it for years, since the beginning, I think. At least since 1999-2000.

We've got the plan that gives us 3 discs at a time, unlimited (other than by the USPS and the speed at which we can watch them) and we stream via our Tivo. Dan has watched a few things on the tablet, but I don't like that as much as I do on our big TV in the living room.

I'm enjoying some of the movies/shows they are producing as well as our ability to say to each other "Remember that movie where...." and have it at home in a couple days. In the last couple months, we've done that with Being There, Hellraiser and Pan's Labrynth.

Sign up for the free month and see how you like it.

Actually, hOund10 said that.

House Of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, Bloodline, Longmire. Just a few examples of outstanding original programming.

How about Netflix vs. Amazon Prime? I have a trial version of Amazon prime that I used to binge watch Mr. Robot, but I really don't know the difference in content between them.

Way yay!!! Its great for watching series, especially if you enjoy binge watching. I get the streaming option, totally worth it IMHO.

:peace:

Amazon Prime is good but beware, there is a lot of pay per view and it costs $99.00 a year for a full membership.

Get a Roku. I love mine.

We have had Netflix since they started online streaming and quite honestly lately we haven't really been watching it all that much. I'm seriously considering to stopping service for a few months and then come back when more new stuff is on. Seems like nothing new for us to watch.

Personally I've been watching Hulu a ToN more than Netflix this past year. We have a roku box and do not have cable/satellite. We only use online streaming and the 2 channels we get with an antenna. Tv just isn't important enough for me to spend big $$$ on it and cable.

I love Netflix and the Roku stick. I pay about$10 per month for Netflix and the Roku was a one time investment $50 or so.. I consider HBO and the like to be a waste of money..
When most us total up what we pay for tv and internet and cell phones,it's alot of money each month.

We've got the netflix plan for two discs out at a time plus multiple devices streaming.
The great thing about Netflix (for us) is there is a lot of BBC programming available. It may not be available streaming, but it is available on disc. The streaming is great because you can binge watch some great programming. Netflix coupled with on-demand from the cable company pretty much satisfies all of our non-live-sports interests.
Definitely a yay vote.

Thanks to all for your responses! I've taken the plunge and signed up for the trial and will decide if I keep or not.

Well, this weekend I will be bingeing on Netflix! Thanks again!

Watch Season One of Bloodline (Netflix original series). It was really good!
