Just getting around to Marcella - good show, about to finish season one. Pretty dark and keeping me guessing.

No reason to go home yet.

Just finished re-watching the Hulu mini-series, "11-22-63", based on the Stephen King novel. It was actually 'better' the second time watching - I suspect because that the first time watching, it was competing against the book in my mind...this time, not so much.

...also, in a fit of nostalgia, I watched the last 6 episodes of Season 4 of "24"... truly classic 'Jack Bauer' and classic network television.

    Netflix -

Finished Season 2 of Outlander. Good show.
Finished Space Force. As someone previously mentioned, John Malkovich steals the show. Patrick Warburton (David Puddy from Seinfield) is funny as the Marine general.
Season 1 of Sex Education. Touches on some harsh reality amidst the comedic hi-jinks.
Season 1 of Outer Banks. Holds your interest. Teens vs. gangsters.
Season 1 of G.L.O.W. Took me a while to get around to this. It's great fun.

    Showtime -

Current Billions. My favorite character is Dollar Bill.
Thinking about giving Penny Dreadful a chance. Natalie Dorman is in it. I'm in love with her.

    HBO -

Run. Give this a chance. I almost quit after Episode 2, but things begin to pick up around Episode 4 or 5. Stars Merritt Weaver.

    Amazon Prime -

Season 2, The Expanse. Earth vs. Mars, woohoo.
Finished Season 2, Homecoming. Interesting premise. Recycling soldiers to go back into combat.

Somewhere in there was a good movie just not what has presented.

If you truly have nothing else to watch okay but you have been warned

I watched Magnetic last night, it’s about athletes who go around the world to experience extreme sports. Incredible photography well suited for viewing in 4k. Highly recommend.

Watched Hulu's Fyre Festival documentary. For a guy who pays attention, more or less, to what's going on in the world, I'm surprised by how little I knew before, during or after the fiasco. The fact I wasn't tuned into the social media hype doesn't shock me, and it's not as if I never heard one word about it, but the dramatic failure of it all never quite grabbed me until I started hearing about the documentaries. I may watch Netflix's documentary, too, before I go on my Netflix hiatus.

In the meantime I'm watching the three hours of Don't Eff with Cats. I've knocked off two of them, and may knock off the final hour on Sunday night. There's another story that had media coverage, although I'm not sure how extensive in the U.S., as it's harder to tell in this documentary. But I knew nothing of this story until people started talking about the documentary, which appropriately came out one week before Xmas last year.

As compelling as the story is, it seems to me that the story hinges on one major point that the sleuths may have never figured out for themselves. It doesn't make the story uninteresting, but it dampens the initial premise, I'd argue. Without details/spoilers, that's all I will say.

That was my favorite Bosch book @Breeze147; super good read. My favorite Connelly book is "The Poet". Its not a Bosch book but in my not so humble opinion it is by far his best book.

We were thinking of getting Hulu for a change of pace, but I just realized that I have a free year of Apple TV+. I didn't realize they actually have their own content. Anyone have any experience with this? I think we may put Hulu on the back burner if there is anything worth watching on Apple.

Still catching up on movies I shouldn't have missed. We watched Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 yesterday with my boys in San Francisco and San Antonio. It's fun to synchronize and watch together from afar while doing a bit of chitchat via text.

    Watched Beastie Boys Story tonight

Admittedly I'm a fan of their hits and don't have much knowledge of their catalog.

This was damn good viewing. Definite watch

    After credits scenes.
