This has been on my to-do list for YEARS now.
If I buy a 2-3pm ticket, does that mean thats my timeframe to get in or visit?

    Thanks!

I visited the Neon Museum last fall, walking there from MSS. If you are referring to a general admission ticket, I believe that is the time frame to arrive. We did have general admission tickets and when we checked in, there was not a group of people waiting for our scheduled time and no one stated a specific time that we had to leave the museum. They simply verified our reservation and ticket purchase, handed us an umbrella to keep the sun off of us (nice!) and let us enter. I believe they do that just to throttle the arrival of visitors to not overrun the museum. The museum itself can be toured in under an hour, depending on how much time you spend speaking with the various staff members throughout the museum. Enjoy your visit!

If you plan to shoot photos, be sure to check the Neon Museums website for their new policy regarding taking photos.
    https://www.neonmuseum.org/visit/film-photography-policy

For general admission, you can now only take photos for personal use with a camera phone or tablet. If you bring a regular camera and accessories you'll have to check them in at the lobby before going on tour. Seems that they've been having problems where unauthorized photos of their signs have been used for commercial use without their permission. Their collection of signs is copyright protected.

They also have special tours for both hobby and professional photographers, so they can use cameras and accessories for shooting photos.

If you are taking a guided tour, the time matters. You might want to consider the after dusk tour time so you can see the signs lit up

Ballpark time frame. Don't sweat it. Actual u'll probably have to wait. Until they get a group of around 10 people. Before they start.

Have done day time and night. Slightly prefer day, reason more detail

    That photo policy sucks!

I guess I take that off the must do list. :(

I do know that the no editorial policy would not stand up if push came to shove!

Given their concerns (and their copyrights!), I think that photo policy is entirely reasonable. They're a non-profit. Why should other people profit off of their work?

So I'm trying to see if my sister would be interested in this. Both of us would be using an Iphone.
Probably wouldnt do a night tour because were gonna start the day with Border Grill and unlimited mimosas. The plan after that is to uber to fremont so it would be early afternoon
Cant say we'd appreciate it that much late at night

I have no problem with the nonprofit angle. I don't like that I can't take personal photos with the camera of my choice.
