Already posted my pre trip report. Arriving Wednesday night 10pm and leaving Sunday morning. Last two nights at Bellagio. First two nights currently have Paris Red Room High floor booked for $150 all in (taxes and fees).

CET now showing same price for PH Ultra Hip. Distance to Bellagio is a wash for transfer, so overall its a wash. Bachelor party group gets in Thursday evening. Plan to gamble a little before bed on Wednesday and then play some poker and pool time Thursday.

I'm somewhat torn on what is the better option.

If you don't care much about the room you might end up with. It would be worth to book the cheapest room at PH and then do a $20 dollar sandwhich at check in. I did that last couple times at Planet Hollywood on Tuesday night arriving late. Got upgraded from the cheapest room to a room with a view of the fountains, huge living room, huge bathroom with huge jetted tub, and stand up shower. I dont know the name of the room but it had alot of Hollywood memorabilia. Or you can book the room you actually want and try the sandwhich anyways and possibly get upgraded to even better suite! My experiences with the $20 dollar trick at PH are 100%. Just make small talk ask them about their day and GO FOR THE KILL once they see the money. GOOD LUCK :evillaugh:

Stayed in an Ultra Hip room in January and was very happy with it. Have not heard great things about the Red rooms at Paris. I would say that, unless you really love the Paris casino and restaurants, PHo is the way to go.

Crazy thing is the cheapest room showing on my calendar IS the Ultra Hip. Go figure right? Regular resort room is $39 more per night. Anyone else think a change is best? Red rooms decent?

I probably prefer Paris casino a bit more to PH, but the room matters.

Ultra Hip is the base room at PH. A Resort room is larger and a step up.

I stayed in an Ultra Hip room in Jan and thought it was great room for a solo stay, new paint job makes it feel spacious. Empty fridge, lots of inexpensive eating options on property and right outside, an ABC Store in the attached mall right off the casino and a Walgreens right next door. A couple of minutes closer to Bellagio than Paris. I liked the casino at PH, I only walked through the one at Paris while doing the tier credit promo.

Not a pool person, so I can't judge, I don't see a lot of people mention much about the PH pool area; I could see it from my room and it didn't look especially impressive. But PH would get the nod from me on everything else.

I would book the Ultra Hip, do maybe a $50 sandwich, make small talk and when they see the note say something along the lines of I'm looking for a bigger room with "Panoramic Views" and maybe get upgraded to the PH Panoramic Suite? I mean its a weekday so why not try it? If it fails just ask if they had change for the $50.
I personally never stayed at Paris but from youtube videos I can tell I would prefer the rooms at PH over Paris. It if you prefer the casino at Paris just walk over, it's not that bad of a walk..... next door.
