Need some advice. Early September trip, choices are Planet Hollywood, Paris or Bally’s. Bringing wife and daughter; wife is an immature 60 year old and daughter is 19. They want to have a couple of pool days.

Stayed at Bally’s many years ago. Liked the pool area, but i remember it being a long walk from the rooms. And not sure what the vibe is like there now.

Would like to avoid the day-club scene, but that’s not a deal breaker.

Which pool is most convenient to the hotel? Are any pools accessible without going through the casino? Noise level? Any other thoughts, tips?

    Thanks in advance.

I can’t speak for the other two but the PH spool did not impress me at all. There are two, about the same shape, without any really appealing set up. One is more of a party pool and one is a little quieter, there were more kiddos there. I would say staying st Bally’s or Paris I would consider heading over to Caesar’s palace and checking out those pools.

Nice thing about Paris, the pool is off the 4th floor, IIRC. Quick elevator ride down to the floor, and walk past the pool store to the pool. I've come to appreciate the Paris pool, after the last three trips. Laid back vibe, never had a problem getting a lounger, and they're nicely spread apart. I've found drink service there to be very good. Hope that helps.

I have stayed at all 3, but it has been a while so things might have changed since my last visit.
Bally's recently redid the ground around the pool so it is no longer the burning hot cement of years past. If you get a room in the tower farthest away from the strip (sorry, I haven't kept up with the tower name changes) you can take the elevator all the way to the pool level and you can avoid first walking through the casino.

The pool at Paris is fairly easy to get to and I thought it was just fine. Nothing special, but just fine.

PH pool is two smaller pools and now they have the wave rider so I assume it will have more younger folks at that pool.

We stayed at Paris the third week of April. Beautiful weather, and although we did not go to the pool ourselves, we could see it from our room. It never looked packed, always nice and relaxed, and there always seemed to be plenty of lounge chairs available.

Of those 3 Paris has the best pool. PH is very small and the only thing it has going for it is the wave rider thing, while Bally's is just bland, but does have a 12ft deep end. Paris has a better vibe is larger.

None of them are "showplace" pools like a lot of Vegas resorts.

But if you're looking for a laid-back, relaxing vibe(which is what I think pool time should be), you'll like Bally's.

If you stay in the Resort Tower, the elevator takes you right down to the lower level and a short walk to the pool. No casino walk necessary.

If you stay at Bally’s or Paris you can go to both pools.

I'd pick Paris. No traipsing through the casino; it's right off the elevator as hattrick mentioned above. Never a problem finding a chair. And there's shade, too, which might come in handy in early September.

And it has a great Vegas back-drop, scenery-wise. The Eiffel Tower is a hoot.

Paris does have a fantastic pool IMO. Both my wife and I really enjoyed it. Plenty of chairs, very cool scenery! However, Bally’s I think is a better value to stay. Updated rooms.. standard rooms are larger, not too bad of a walk to either pool.

Bally's is the most inconvenient to the hotel, but it's not horrible.

PH, if you want a quiet pool, there are two, you will want the one to the right when you enter the pool area.
Paris, beware, everyday the Eiffel Tower casts a shadow on the pool (not sure what times). Also, the water is super shallow.
Ballys is the only one you have to actually swim in. I believe one side is actually 10 or 12 feet deep. They have good groupon specials for a cabana is you want one.

The most "day club" of the 3 is PH, but it's not too bad. Hope this helps.

Bally's is one of just a couple of pools left in Vegas with a true "deep end" 10-12 feet deep. The rest are just waist-deep wading pools, I can't stand them. My wife and I love to swim around in the water, so that's a huge plus for Bally's for me. Just my personal viewpoint.
