And Lebron left his Kobe mentality at home.
la queen, la fraud quit again on his team.. time to ship him out.. over rated, drama queen.
la queen could never hold kobes jock strap, he is a quitter, a cry baby, a fraud..
Overreact much, lol
Lakers may very well lose this series, but it was obvious before this game that Lebron would mail it in and save his legs for the next two games (with the hope of AD back in the lineup). He has done this for at least the last seven years of his playoff career. He knows its a series and not a one game sprint and he looks at the larger picture.
As for the Kobe/LeBron comparisons, that's a whole different discussion. But if your basis for your argument is LeBron quitting on his team, you don't have a long memory. Go back and watch the 2006 playoffs when Kobe unquestionably quit on his team in a Game 7!!!!! Andy why? Because his coach asked him to get other guys involved!!! That was the ultimate quitting on your team moment
Lakers can very much win this series. If somehow they win Game 6, I would not bet against Lebron vs a Suns team whose key player (CP3) is brittle himself. Even if LA survives the first round, to get through Utah and then LA/Denver/Dallas will be a tall order. And even if they survive that - The Bucks or Nets will win easily in The Finals.
Oh well. Football starts in less than 10 weeks
Luka put on a show last night, despite being hurt. Clippers are in trouble?? Balmer will blow team up if they lose .
IMO Luka is in top 5 players in league . kid does it all , points , assist , rebounds.
Once he finally rounded into shape this season, he has been terrific. The Clippers have a ton of talent but are poorly constructed. This series is a good example of that. They lost the first tow games and were down 14 to 2 in game three before Luka got hurt. If Luka's health hold up, it will be tough (not impossible, but tough) for the Clips to win the next two
Ok. Seriously. I don’t remember. About Kobe particularly but Lebron wanted AD and other parts + Kawhi wanted Paul George…….the nets wanted everyone and Hardin said ok.
Did Kobe ever do this or do I recall correctly ownership did this back in the day?
There were super teams back then but I can only recall players following the money and not the requests of other players.
just asking….for a friend.
It’s been happening for a while. Celtics with Garnett and Allen joining Pierce. Shaq and Kobe with the Lakers. James, Bosh joining the Heat with Wade…mini dynasties
Had this exact convo this morning. IMO if he continues to learn, he could be magical. He’s only 22!!!
There have been super teams fo decades. The difference in the past decade is that the players have built the super teams versus deacdes of organizations building the super teams.
As for Kobe, yeah he basically did this. He requested a trade from LA. Another fact people conveniently forget. But the Lakers got a great deal for Pau Gasol to be Kobe's number two (better option than Odom, Bynum, or Brown) and he decided to stay. Two more titles and all was forgotten
Back to the topic of this years playoffs:
76ers over Hawks in 6
Bucks over Nets in 7
Milwaukee vs. Brooklyn will be a great series; really looking forward to it.
Easily the biggest joke of a trade in my lifetime and it really seemed like nobody questioned it at the time.
They traded three absolute nobody's, two 1st Round picks (high 20's) and the rights to Marc Gasol for the best Power Forward in basketball.
I've always said...what the Lakers want, the Lakers get.
Haven't drafted a 'star' since the 1970's.
Hopefully Lakers are out.
Man that was painful. I saw the Lakers demise before the playoffs started when LeBron had the high ankle sprain but it was still hard to watch. Reality’s a bitch.
Congratulations to the Suns on a well played series!
Lakers gone fishin’
Sometimes you just can’t rely on being able to “flip the switch”. Can’t wait for the analysis by the “experts”. (a 2 seed underdog to a 7?….)
IMO- Utah-Nets in Finals
