    I do!

This Vegas-specific airline was only in existence for three years, but they offered a good service - at least MDW to LAS. I think they were affiliated somehow with Harrah's Corp because they offered a service that, upon LAS arrival, sent your checked baggage from the airport straight to Harrah's. Or Rio, which was my home back then. I remember they served hot meals that weren't bad. And the seating was spacious and nice. Then abruptly, operations ceased.

Anyone else remember National and flew with them?

Almost forgot about them. They stop service to Seattle before I could use them.
My local buddy's next door neighbor was from Chicago and flew them a number of times. Good rates and he loved their VIP club. I guess you could access the club without a ticket. He and his wife would routinely go over a couple of times a month when not flying. No wonder they went down.

I flew them on every Vegas trip out of DFW while they were in business.
The primary appeal for me was the $50 each-way upgrade to First (24-hours or less before departure). I never failed to score a first class seat...flew them a bunch of times, but never in coach.

Actually, I used to enjoy flying TWA, well, as much as I enjoy flying at all.

Hell Yeah I remember them. Loved them. Really hated to see them go under. I flew them on their last day of business. I never will forget. I boarded the airplane in Las Vegas to fly home. Nothing felt out of the ordinary on the flight. Cabin crew did not seem to know what was coming. There was even a flight attendant on her first day of training. Landed in Chicago , went home and went to bed. Woke up the next morning to find out National Airlines had gone out of business. I was like DAMN!. I thought about the employees on the flight and felt bad. I flew them about five times
. Loved flying the B757 out of Midway with them. Nice airplane.

I remember one of their slogans.

"National Airlines says you're gonna have a great time.". But, since they were primarily an East Coast airline, I never flew them.

My second to last flight with them was a flight that had a 5 hour delay. Seems the incoming airplane landed and picked up a flat nose wheel tire taxing in. National was the only airline flying the B757 in and out of Midway and they had no maintenance at Midway, They had to go to O'Hare to find a front wheel and tire. They got one from Delta. All of the paperwork and transportation took five hours. Passenger were all given a free round trip voucher. I used my voucher in November and that flight ended up being one of the last in their history. I still have my ticket from the flight.

I flew National out of NYC....specifically to VEGAS - MANY TIMES !
    I liked them
Jet Blue ( in it's early days ) reminded me of National.
    .
I remember one flight out of NYC -
The flight was late because of bad weather ( incoming plane was late )
I threw my large plastic bag down on the airport floor + relaxed, nicely.
Jet arrived......we took off......in the air 60 mins,,,,,,
    Cockpit comes on speakers
announces that the backup battery was not working and it's against rules
    to continue on,,,,,
" We are returning to NYC."
The ENTIRE full plane GRQANED in unison !!!!!!........AAAHHHOOOHHH !!!!!
That was a Looooooong travel day to VEGAS !
