jilly! meaning no disrespect to Nate's thread, but I think I'm finally starting to understand your humor, I'm sorry I didn't in the beginning! so much for jumping to conclusions!

Nate I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread, I've shared it with my husband and kids, they said "hey how come we don't do that stuff in Vegas" I said because we don't make the "$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$" that Nate does, they both said "college is sounding better and better" sweet music to my ears...LOL!

I fully agree about the gambling being worse when the wife is around.

Both of my big wins at craps happened AFTER my wife left the area.

It's all good though--she tells me she plays blackjack best when I'm not around so the feeling is mutual.

Wow, I wonder if you knew how much better off you are b/c they deem you "international?" I play $100k lines at most properties. Here is what Cosmo does for me: promos - $2k. Airfare - will reimburse actual cost at $50k or so, and a 5% loss discount. That's it. You are killing the system, so good for you, but honestly, not that its any of your problem, this is the kind of stuff that has caused MGM to completely tighten up against larger "domestic" players such as myself. Why they feel compelled to is hard in my estimation to justify, but that's just me. Well actually, not just me, Mandalay Bay fired their entire "international" team a few years ago as they were costing them more than they brought in. I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen elsewhere going forward. Either way, I enjoyed the report, thanks for writing it!

Big props Nate. The trip report was top notch; allowing all of us into your world and letting us lose ourselves during the time we are reading your adventures.

    P.S. Please don't take a year off!!!

I think if you spend like 3 weeks in Vegas and at the end you aren't planning to take a year off, something is wrong.

In a weird way, it seems like if you do Vegas right, you don't want to come back for a long time.

I don't know if Natedog feels this, but to me as much as I love Vegas, there is a "pressure" to it because as a degenerate you know in the back of your mind it can all go VERY WRONG very quickly at any time.

It's definitely like a game of Frogger for me and the more I drink, the faster those cars drive....:drunk:

    Great report Natedog!

The more I drink the more I tend to chase after the cars

Thanks Nate, for taking us to places ........high table limits/stakes, exotic rooms, and dining choices, that many of us dream of and can only hope for !
Altho I dont' fully understand the baccarat game and the lingo, as with most table games, I loved the report, and could feel the emotion in your posts

Hope you and your family had a safe journey home, and looking forward to the next trip report , be it in one year or whenever

I never post here, just lurk, but I just read this whole TR and as a woman, I am going to AGREE!!! Whenever we are in a casino, I let my husband go to the tables and I wander. The second I can even see him he starts to lose. I'll admit it...I'm a woman and I'm bad luck!

This is well put, I always consider Vegas as a game, whether it's drinking, gambling, or whatever, and it's just like you said, the knowledge that it could go really wrong or really right at just the right moment, is the intrigue with it. I like skating that line, but could never do it for multiple trips in a 3 month period or something like that.

Great report, Nate. I did stop by on the 14th by your craps table at Wynn, but it was unoccupied at that time. Looking forward to further adventures though. I can confirm I am not the jinx from your report though :) as I only played craps the last day of my trip.

I have to say some of reading your reports rubbed off on me, as I was hyper sensitive to superstitions this trip, along with constantly looking for ways to hit a big score, after I had hit one jackpot already.

I'm still fuming about the guy that came up to me as I was rolling at the craps table asking how the table was doing, directly to me, I was at the tipping point for bets, having hit 3 points already and was 2-3 come bets. Don't talk, look, or touch the shooter :) I'm working here

First of all! Why in a previous post was my name connected or quoted as saying something about an Asian host being Japanese/Korean! It wasn't I who made that comment!

A great trip report as always. I'm still waiting for the pictures of the In-and-Out burgers that they bring you that you usually post when you leave.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

Im still at the beginning of this thread but one word of advice for you Mr. Natedogg.

Your hosts ARE NOT friends. They could care less about you. All they care about is what they can make off of you.

Trust me on this. They will pretend to be your best bud. Call you to just shoot the shit without speaking a word about gambling. It's all a ploy. They are all the SAME.

Tell your hosts at MGM to go screw themselves, and to enjoy their new job at a used car lot when MGM goes BK.
