Interesting article, thanks for posting!
Nate, can't wait to see your reports! Have a great trip!
Looking forward to this one but I don't think I could cope with 5 weeks in Vegas. Good luck Nate.
Wow, great article. I heard about the last story happening at the Bellagio, got all sorts of people fired because of allowing the players to bet after the cards came out. Took them awhile to figure it out too!
Would be great to throw some dice with you at the Wynn!
Oh! I can't wait for your report, as you offer an insight that I never have seen! Sorry about MGM treating you so poorly, but I am sure the others will be happy to have your play. Your last trip report was such a joy to read, as I am sure this next one will be Best of Luck on your pending trip
I bet you do a load of cunning stunts.
OHHH yessss! A Natdog report! Hope you have time for lots of updates and details on the gaming actions at the tables. Any new gold plates this trip? Are your dice setting crew joining you like last trip? Hope you go on a month long heater, and look forward to reading and seeing the pics!!
Good Luck Natedog and thanks in advance for the anticipated epic report!!
Looking forward to this, especially as I'll be in town with my other half for the first week you are there Natedog.... although I'll be "sleeping with the enemy":Þ as you can see from my countdown.
We will be stopping by the Wynn though so maybe I'll catch a glimpse of you killing 'em.
Damnit! I had a trip planned out for 1/19-1/22 and then backed out. Heading to Delta.com now to look at reward flights...
Have loved reading your previous trip reports Natedog so can't wait for this one, especially as I'll be there around the same time (22nd to 24th Jan - and it's my first visit - can't freakin' wait!!)
I'll be doing this too - sorry, but it was a good deal!
Thanks for all the pep and encouragement! I'm flying to the US tomorrow (14 hr flight), so psyching myself up with various money management strategies flying through my head....
Met with the Caesar's people today from the country office, the host from US flew in to meet me too.
It seems that Caesar's international program has some twists and turns as well.
I can only play Baccarat, Pai Gow, and Blackjack at CP. Any other game like craps and roulette are disallowed because it will screw up my "program".
The casino business is sooooo interesting! With all the nuances and programs at each casino.
For the limits at the CP, I can go 75k a hand on Baccarat, 50k for two hands at BJ, or 25k playing 3 hands. 20k for 2 hands at Pai Gow. CP has the highest limits for BJ in Vegas....
Also found out something very interesting from a Genting host today, the min/max bet at the two Singapore casinos are out of this world. They go from 500 Singapore dollar (1.2 to 1USD) to 750k Singapore dollar per hand of Baccarat. That means anybody can walk in the door and bet 750k Sing Dollar on one hand! That's like 625k USD!!! And people do that all the time! That's the most I've ever heard of.....crazy crazy place.....
The host was also telling a bunch of stories about her "big" clients that had my jaws dropping open. There's this one gentleman that would come into town and book an entire night club for US$1m, they would let him do whatever theme he wanted, like bring in tigers, hold bikini contests. When he does a bikini contest, any hottie that shows up gets 1k, that's just for showing up....so usually a few hundred show up....and of course the winners get a lot more.
All his parties would be packed with celebrities, because he would give them 2-300k just to show up for 20m....so one night's partying might cost 3-4m dollars!
Only in vegas.....
I'm curious, did they explain why no craps or roulette? Seems loike they would want their larger players to be happy and let you play whatever you want
That is incredible that a host flew all the way from the US to Taiwan just to meet you. You make the run of the mill high roller look like a penny slot player!
Its interesting that Caesars is giving you the highest limits. For all the negative things we all say about CET properties, when it comes to truly big players, it looks like Caesars is the only casino with guts to take big action any more.
Good luck Nate, win enough to hurt the casinos earnings for the year!
Good luck on the trip. I will be in vegas towards the end of your trip. I would love to throw some dice with you.
It's sad how MGM has treated you. After all the business you gave them...foolish.
I'm sure he has more exciting things to do, but if he did take the time out to do this I would recommend quarters in the Sigma Derby!
Goodluck Natedog...Me anf Gf will be in vagas end of Month ..I remember what ya look like ..If I get the time I'll sure come say hi but surely won't bother you if you look deep into thought..
Love to throw some dice with ya,,
They explained (I have my doubts on this reasoning) that since the "computer" combines everything, the other games would screw up my "program". So if I played any of those other games, they would not be able to count the theo points towards anything.
Another more likely reason is that they are just lazy. Since 99.9% of players from my home country play Baccarat anyways, they just didn't want to have the hassle....she mentioned that there was one player that played only craps, and she said that CP couldn't give them a good program so he didn't go....hint hint....
Looking forward to seeing everybody and placing names with faces...just not during a monster roll haha....
Another story from the Caesar's host (guess was sort of a warning, she had a bunch of these stories...) was about this player that played Baccarat into the wee hours of the night, won pretty big and decided to take cash...about 250k. On the way back to his room, walking past one of the bars, picked up an escort. She put something in his drink after consummating the deal, and ended up calling her pimp into the room and cleaning him out (from the surveillance video). The CP called the cops, but there was really nothing they could do, and they were being real asses by having some fun with the foreigner, so with the young lady host translating, didn't really ask for a description of the suspects, but wanted a step by step description of what happened in the room. Details about every single "action". The host got so embarrassed translating that she couldn't do it anymore and had to find a male host....haha.
Boy a 250k payout for the escort and her pimp (accomplice) must be a nice night's work for them....
Yeah, I would doubt that explanation too! If its a formula, one would think they could tweak it for the games a high roller plays. I mean, all Vegas projections for these companies are basedon formulas. I can't believe they are now claiming to be bad at math!
Ill be in town for the Super Bowl. I've never met you but love seeing your reports.
