Hi y'all, Have a question regarding awards and offers. My buddy has some myVEGAS points that we'd like to use for a room for a couple of nights, but then we'd like to book the remaining nights under my discounted offer at the hotel. Not comped. First, is this possible and second, can they link these up so we wouldn't have to change rooms? We are obviously unrelated mlife numbers etc. it's aria of that matters. Thanks.
I'm guessing, when you check you can request same room, etc, and they should accommodate. We've done it at various properties using separate ressies. GG
That shouldn't be an issue. Only was a problem for me once in the run up to a holiday and I had to switch rooms. But no issue at all to have your name on both reservations and highly likely you'll be able to keep the same room. Decent chance, however, that you'll need to get new room keys when the reservation switches to your name.
I've linked multiple reservations a couple of times, mixed results. My two instances with MyVegas comp nights: When I stayed at the Mirage I linked 3 MyVegas rewards for a total of 4 nights, housekeeping seemed really confused as they kept asking me each day if I was checking out and if the room needed to just be straightened up or turned over. Linked a paid stay and a reward night at Delano, got locked out when the second reservation kicked in. Just had to get new keys in the lobby. Both really minor and it beats having to switch rooms.
I have booked 2 nights in my name and 2 in hubbys name. Just had to go to check in at after the first 2 nights and check in again. It was no biggie.
I linked free and MyVegas rooms at NYNY couple years ago. Problem arose only because the rooms were of different quality as paid was upgraded. Situation was easily rectified and didn't have to switch rooms
