    Hi,

I wanted to post on this message board because I could use everyone who is familiar with MGM's gambling apps from their subsidiary Playstudios which are MyVegas, MyKonami, and Pop Slots - specifically in regards to achieving VIP level 8 status with host and custom rewards. I know for a fact (and you will see too) that I was intentionally misled and lied to when it comes to custom rewards and the value of my loyalty points. I was charged a significant mark up for my first custom reward in which I spent 26 million - 26,075,000 Loyalty Points on a $500 amazon gift card, this ended up being a big mistake as I found out first hand a month later when I had gotten down to a small remaining balance of Loyalty Points and was able to request a second custom reward only 35 days or so from having my first custom reward sent with the Amazon GC. Just so you know, I had told my host that because of my health I would not be able to travel to Vegas and asked if they had MGM casino offers for the MGM in Detroit, MI where I'm from.

Before I settled on this offer after I had asked about as many questions I could think of as it related to what types of custom rewards could be created ie. buying sporting event tickets, gift cards, plane tickets, MGM gift shop gift card, MLife gift card etc, I was told that $500 was the highest gift card value I would be able to get regardless of the vendor I selected. So I was given the impression that she was giving me a fair and transparent offer.

I want to ask a question to those who are familiar with VIP hosted status and custom rewards, which is this: When you use your loyalty points and receive a custom reward from you host, then a month later you then ask your host to get the exact same custom reward again (and we'll assume it's obtainable and doable from their end) would it cost more or less loyalty points?

In short my loyalty points were worth 6.54 more for my second reward than my first reward. That is i had to spend 6.54 more loyalty points per $1 of GC rewarded on my first reward. This mean my $500 reward should have been actually more like $3,270. See the math below. Either way I was lied to when I was told I had been given the best offer from my host.

Now I understand that non vegas rewards are discretionary and not guaranteed, but due to the fact that there was such a huge difference in the relative value of LPs - where 26M = $500 GC and 600K = $75 GC. Like I mentioned earlier, the value of my LPS should avtually be worth more if the "Mix" of time playing, time on each app, total spend, and spend on each app were to be taken into account, then I definitely have a much more diverse mix in the first 2-3 years compared to 2019.

Here is how I calculated that I was lied to and lost out on $2,700 of value or so in redeeming my loyalty points. Below I calculated how much 1 loyalty point was worth per $1 of Gift Card so that I could then calculate the amount I should have been able to receive for my LPs. To get the value of 1 Loyalty Point, each I just divided the [ $Value of GC / Total loyalty points used] .
Example - First custom Reward Calculation ( Gift Vard Value / Loyalty Points Redeemed)
    $500 / 26,075,000 = 0.000019
    FIRST CUSTOM REWARD ($500 GC - 1 LP Value) = 0.000019

    $75 / 600,000 = 0.000125
SECOND CUSTOM REWARD ($75GC- 1 LP value) =.000125

Now all you need to do to get the Adjusted Value of 1st Custom Reward is [ Loyalty Points of First Custom Reward X Value of 1 Loyalty Point from Second Custom Reward
    26,075,000 * $0.000125= $3,259

Or if you were to flip this around to see what the value of my second custom reward would be using the Value of 1 Loyalty Point of the first custom reward you get 600,000*0.000019 = $11.40
That is if my loyalty points were worth what they were for when I got my first custom reward, the 600,000 loyalty points would only get me $11.40 Amazon Gift Card. which is 6.54 times less than what the second reward I received was in $75.

I lost about $2,700 that my loyalty points could have been redeemed for had I been presented with transparent information.

Please help me and reply if you have any knowledge related to custom rewards and how I can hold Playstudios accountable for making this right.

Hosts aren't perfect, and you might ask to confirm the conversion for the custom reward. My host found out that a mistake was made after I pointed out that the amount was a little "high" compared to a previous reward.

Have you talked with your host? Your host is your communications avenue with Playstudios.

"custom" rewards are exactly that. They are subject to the conversion rate at the time, and they are NOT linear. mLife rewards are more linear, as Playstudios has more "control" over their relationship with mLife. I have never gotten a custom award of Amazon, and I would believe that Playstudios pays "more" for Amazon than mLife.

And that's about as much input as I would care to give. This is clearly between you and your host. My host ALWAYS verifies the amount of LPs before she does the award.

I know above could be confusing but plain and simple all else equal the value of my loyalty points manipulated and I was lied to due to having accumulated such a large amount that Playstudios did not want to pony up when I finally came calling. I determined through my math that for every dollar I was given in rewards for the exact same gift but just a different value, I had to use 6.54 more loyalty points per $1. That means I wasted a lot of loyalty points.

If I was given the pricing of the second custom reward for my first custom reward, a $500 amazon gift card would have been 4 million loyalty points not 26 million. And I am furious that I basically was talked into using all of my LPs because the host had straight up told me that I could use 26,075,000 LPs and get a $500 Amazon or other vendor Gift Card. When I asked how many LPs for a $300 GC and so on and so forth she wouldn't share that information telling me she would have to get assistance to find out. But bottom line is after 97% of my LPs were spend
somehow skyrocketed once I conveniently had gotten rid of 97% of them. I believe my 26 million Loyalty Points (LPs) should have been worth more than a $500 amazon gift card plain and simple. I believe I was misled and lied to about what I could get with 27 million loyalty points as my host would not provide me with any additional options outside of different gift cards so that I could get a better idea of if I should hang onto them and wait or spend less of them.

And its even more suspicious that when I started asking to schedule a call with my hosts super33

I've gotten the same rewards at various times, and the price has fluctuated. I got a price for a gift card one year, and it was more expensive the following year, iirc. I think I had been playing less in the later year, so that makes sense.

I've only ever gotten MLife GCs, so no idea about prices for Amazon, sorry.

What are MLife GCs, do you have to be in Vegas to use them? If you don't then my host intentionally left that option out when I was asking her what custom reward I could get if I was not going to travel to Las Vegas. And i am almost 100% certain since MLife is MGM related that the cost for a MLife GC would be less LPs for the same $ amount. And above you said that the second reward you got cost MORE and you were playing LESSS. That makes sense. The inverse happened to me though I was playing more and it cost less but I got my second reward 30 days later so like my month of playing and spending did not come close to the 3-4 years I played to build up 27 million LPs. I just feel they were not transparent and they bought my LPs back for 6x less than they were worth with my first purchase. Thats arbitrage - LPs are essentially a market if the value of themfluctuate. However, there is no information available to us that provides any detail on this. Heck Pop Slots did not even have a host until I pointed out that I had lost my VIP status from my hiatus and that I only played Pop Slots and after $1000 I was still not even a VIP. They didn't have a program for it in place like MyVegas until November of this year. I only played Pop Slots in 2019 pretty much. So they are definitely shady and won't talk with me on the phone and that just makes me think they are hiding something or don't want to deal with the mess that they accidentally created. I plan to contact the BBB and let them know about this because its part of their product and they are not transparent to the users about this stuff and when a user asks for it, they deflect and never give me a clear response.

For instance why couldn't I have bought 43 $75 Amazon gift cards at 600k a pop. Guess what that 600k would have gotten me at the value of my first reward - it would have been a $11 Amazon gift card.

Think about that..... in 30 days the value of LPs goes up 650% and all of a sudden that 600k is now worth $75?.... Cmon this isnt the stock market and if they are going to treat it as such then they need to be transparent with their customers and they definitely are not being that with me. I am going to continue to let them know that I will not stop making noise about this until we go back to the negotiating table. I will give them the $500 amazon GC back and ask them to give me the value of LPs I used for a MLife GC. Only thing is I don't know what a MLife GC is so first can soeone please tell me more about that about where and what it can be used for ?

I genuinuely appreciate everyones feedback even if I sound like a disgruntled a-hole. I just want to be treated like I have intelligence and am not someone with the IQ of a pet rock.

    From the mLife reward site:

"MGM Resorts gift cards are accepted at participating destinations. For a list of participating destinations where you can purchase, redeem or to purchase online, visit http://www2.mgmresorts.com/giftofvegas/"

They are only usable at an mLife casino.

I cannot address the Amazon card value issue since I have never tried to purchase third party gift cards with a custom award since they are so expensive, but I still contend that you should take it up with your Playstudios host.

I bought MLife Gift Cards with my LPs, and when I got prices for rooms it fluctuated wildly dependent on the cost to Playstudios when buying from MLife.

It's just a card to use at MGM properties, as per DaiLun's link.

I hardly ever use PopSlots, as it seems to be the worst of all the apps for accumulating LPs, and would definitely be trying to do wha DaiLun suggests and work it out with the host.

Pop slots is actually quite good right now. It seems it does not matter how much you bet and you still get 150 lp per roughly 20 spins.

    Hi @Plese_Hlp_Ans?

Unfortunately I’m in a similar boat regarding my Playstudios Host experience so far. After several exchanges with my new host I’ve been told that there is no freeplay available and if I want a gift card or resort credit as a custom comp the conversion is 6million LP for $100. Sounds rather steep considering the level of investment required to generate them! :)

Perhaps being hosted is only worthwhile for folks that have been hosted for a considerable time. It’s been a massive disappointment for me.
