Just a general question but almost every casino runs promotions for mystery free play. They usually guarantee a small amount between $25-$100 but say you can get more. I’ve seen the mystery offer up to $5000.

Who here has actually swiped and got more than the minimum? I’ve gone a fair amount of times and never received more than the minimum guaranteed.

If it’s a video screen...it’s most likely NOT random...
A place in Reno used to do a wheel for freeplay (from $10-$1000) and one time I spun it and landed on the $1000 wedge...
But any other casino I’ve ever been to, is a “virtual” wheel..so 99.999% of the time you’ll get minimum...the other .001 you’ll get probably double the minimum.
Even high rollers, same thing with them, except their “minimum” is a lot higher...it’s all the game of CRM.

We get lots of offers in the mail for FP. From $40 to $500 at our main casino. They also send those mystery ones saying $5 to $500 in most cases. Do not think I ever got more than $100, usually more like $20-$50.

Low enough that I do not even track them like the rest of them.

I have done very few of these in Vegas and when I have I've typically gotten the bottom amount. Interestingly enough, at my local, I have participated a number of times. I usually get the same $250. Friends and acquaintances that have lower bets and tier levels usually get something more scaled to their play. I agree with @TIMSPEED assessment that these "mystery" prizes are "fixed."

I get this at Borgata, it's from $100-$1000, I have gotten $150 once and $125 once. Every other time it was $100.

I have gotten these offers a few times from my local. It's usually between $10 and $1000. I usually get the $10. I think once I got $50.

At the local I get the lowest or second lowest amount all the time. I agree it is predetermined.
