So a buddy and me went to Sams Town sunday night to eat at Twains, had a $100 coupon that was going to expire at the end of the month. I had $100 in my pocket so we decided to stop by Horseshoe on the way home to grab a drink and run that through. A quick visit to the diamond lounge and headed right over to the video poker for some $1 JOB. Whenever I got up to $125 I would play at $5 DDB. Lucky me...this happened.

Drawn from 3 cards. I had 2 dealt to me last year, so I don't expect to see another one of those anytime soon.

Gonna make a trip there early next year. Got an offer for suite tix at a Grizzlies game and free airfare. Any info on rooms, restaurants etc would be appreciated. Thinking about spending a night or 2 in Memphis.

There is nothing else really in Tunica. Since you got free airfare - is that a charter? Will you have a car? Which casino are you going to?

Gold Strike, Horseshoe and Roadhouse are all next to each other. Rest need a car to get to. Nothing else to do in Tunica. Memphis? Beale Street is an option downtown. I am guessing there is a Memphis Visitors website out there.

May or may not have a car. No charter. I'll be on one of the airlines. I'll probably end up getting one since I want to go to Graceland and spend a few nights in Memphis.

Yeah, you'll definitely need a car to visit anything outside of gold strike, horseshoe, and roadhouse. Unfortunately I don't have many food recommendations in or out of the casino. Gold strike buffet is better than horseshoe.

My gf liked the barbecue nachos at Fed Ex forum at least. Never really went out of our way to try local joints.

Roadhouse rooms all have whirlpool tubs but are fairly shabby otherwise. I have some pics around somewhere if you're interested.

Give me some sort of interest profile on food, etc. and I can put my 2 cents worth in for sure from a local's perspective.
