    this is why i too am single. I would never pull this stuff if i wasnt single. I would ask in private first..
    i get people free rooms, but they are my family, and the trade off is that they babysit for me in return lol.

    A few trips back my mil and a friend of my wife's came on a trip, I got her cheap plane tickets, free or reduced price rooms and bought some meals with comps and points.

    The friend tried buying dinner one night, and my wife wouldn't let her. Then she tried giving me money for the rental car, my wife gave it back, said we would have paid for it any way. But she did thank me at least a dozen times so it was fine, but damn if someone wants to buy let them.
