Hi all- this is my pre trip report for my 6/25-6/30 (tues-sun) trip. - We have 7 total people going, split into 2 groups. 3 of us will be doing Tues-Sun, the other 4 (from CA) are only doing a Thurs-Sun. I was able to score a $162 R/T fare from Boston. - The 3 of us have a lakeview room at Bellagio ($129 per night) for Tues/Wed/Thurs nights. On Fri, we will be moving to St Tropez All-Suite Hotel ($49 per night) for the two weekend nights. The CA group is staying at the Hard Rock and the St Tropez is directly across the street. - We have tix for Blue Man Group Wed night. In addition, we might check out one of the cheap comedy clubs on another night. - Plan on getting a massage at the Bellagio Spa..it's expensive but I've never had a professional massage before. - Hoping to hit buffets at Aladdin and Bellagio. No expensive restaurants in our plans yet. - We are all in our mid 20s so we'll be focusing on nightlife greatly. I'm not a big gambler but I'm sure I'll do a fair amount when I get there. Things I'm greatly looking forward to: View from our bellagio room (we turned down the $99 Venetian offer for this one, even though I hear bellagio rooms aren't very big), Vegas restaurants, amazing nightlife, constant drinking, BMG, walking the Strip at night, using my new Minolta digital camera Only thing I'm worried about: the heat. I'm hoping to hit the Bellagio pool one day but the heat may keep me away. One more fortnight to go!!
The pools tend to be chilled, so by all means head to the pool! The little cafe by the pool at Bellagio has those misters to keep you cool if you decide to dine al fresco. I ate there last June with my dad & his wife (who were staying at Bellagio) and we ate in cool comfort while watching some exerciseaholics doing aqua-aerobics. We just enjoyed our frozen drinks and laughed at them
I stayed at the bellagio 3 weeks ago. i also had a lakeview room. The view of the fountains is wonderful. Here is a little tip. They give tours of the suites at the bellagio. they give them everday at 2. as the desk clerk about them. Also look straight down from your view and you will see the private villa rooms. Britney spears was staying in one while we were there. They have their own pool and hot tub. The cool thing about the bellagio rooms, the music to the fountains is played over the tv so you not only watch the fountains but also hear the music. Have fun.
Thanks for the info Josh. At check-in, do you think I should ask for a room that is in the middle of the floor? Is there a particular floor should I ask for? Or does it not really matter, as long as it's a lakeview room?
i was on the 20th floor. Being that high, you can see individual lights and that takes away from the beauty. I think the lower the floor the better. Still, when you watch them from the room, they are not as impressive as watching them from las vegas blvd. The 129 deal is what i had and the lake view is only free if they have some open, so check in as quick as you can so the do not fill the lakeview rooms up.
