My July 2nd-july 6 trip report

Mlife rewards desk at exculibur bad customer service. It's 4th of July and only one person open! Look at the line. Waiting to get my 25 free play put on for over 20 min. Won't have any time to play here after using my mykonami freeplay. Have to go right to nyny after this to use my last 25 mykonami. Gotta be at cosmo by at least 5.

 

Worth the wait in that slow line for my freeplay. The very last spin of my 25 freeplay at exculibur. Now onto nyny for my last 25 mykonami free play

 

Here at cosmo now. Nyny free play won 6 bucks. Took the shortcut from nyny and through crystals. Got my 75 free play loaded on my card now.

 

Just had nom nom burger at holsteins with my mom (we both had same thing). DELICIOUS! 2nd time eating food from cosmo and omg so good! Last time I ate at cosmo was at lardos, bacon burger. Cosmo has the best burgers!

Btw one good win so far, was playing dragon link few seats down while waiting to collect our money from the group vmb slot pull. We broke even and got our 100 back. I got more of a surprise when the dragon link I was playing hit the link feature while waiting to get paid.

Now its time to play slots til 1030 when it's time to meet the group again for the firework viewing. Will be taking a lot of firework pictures tonight. And I won't be posting anymore pictures until I get back to my room at the cal because it takes a while to upload here at cosmo. Download speed is slow here. I was downloading my pictures of my mom and I while eating. Only 8 pictures compared to later which will be a lot.

Did not update post yesterday because my mom and I were too busy. I am at the Cafe at silver sevens now using my 40 food they sent me and then 50 free play before heading home. Just using free play only and leaving, don't care about getting offers here...too far from the strip. I just want to stop getting emails/mail from them to try out their casino. Taking full advantage of what they sent me.

Now onto my report after eating dinner at holsteins... Some big wins after eating at holsteins and fireworks. Broke even at cosmo with what I brought uptown. Left around 2am to hop on bus and head back downtown Vegas making sure traffic was cleared up before leaving.

 

Pictures got a little out of order when I was fixing 4 that decided to stay as thumbnail. For some reason the first 4 pictures you see is at the beginning of the comment and not the last 4 pictures. Those 4 are supposed to be the last 4. Not going to mess around trying to fix it.

Now onto my binions report...did not go to bed after coming back downtown. We went into binions playing for the first time (had to go to pit boss to print out a card) and I got a hand pay there on cleopatra. The picture of the cleopatra game without the hand pay is the machine right next to that one.. the one with a hand pay took a while to finally get the games.. Played there til rewards club opened and then we were able to get a pin number and I earned 150 in free play playing all night there, my mom 30 because she likes to low roll bet. What annoys me about binions is not many machines take free play, only the ones with the green sticker on. At 4 queens and everywhere else hardly any limit. Well circa only limit is you can't use free play on any progressives and most slots there are progressives. Left binions with about 2000, 1000 ahead. I am not counting how much I gave to my mom. Still though, 2000 sitting in the safe untouched. Pulled an all nighter.

After binions went into california to go up to room to take a shower and change. Also had my protein drink to take my morning over counter supplements. Then played a bit at the cal before leaving to circa to play and eat. We didn't eat til about 4pm ish so we would only eat once.

A few wins at the cal. Some machines would pay and then more would take. Kept hopping around too but this time actually paid, after I went up to the room to shower. Before going up to the room, take take take.

 

Now onto circa, everything I played last time I was there memorial weekend that I won on except 1 machine took took took. Circa was money hungry. Up and down there this trip.

 

After circa went to plaza and played for first time there so I start getting offers. Got about 4k points when I checked my points at kiosk. Only got 1 with to show from plaza worth taking a picture of. Then went to Golden gate which was not golden. No wins to show. Then went to 4 queens to pick up my free play I earned from first night I was there from promotion which was 70 free play. Left with 74 bucks. Didn't play after using the free play because time was moving too fast and wanted to play a bit at Golden nugget where I always do good at and had free play again there. No pictures to show though because no huge wins worth taking pic of.

 

Then we went to the cal to call it a night to get 8 hours of good sleep. Wrote my replies as I was at the Cafe at silver sevens. Now it's time to use my 50 free play at silver sevens and head home back to Los angeles.

 

Took my mom after she was widowed.
She’d been before but golf related with my dad so wives were an afterthought.
Stayed at Plaza and Lady Luck. She had a great relaxed time.
Take your mother to Vegas.. …… before she thinks she’s in TV……it goes down hill fast once it starts. Moms are great!!

those 4 play slots do seem to be a decent way to spread the varience on relatively low bets.

 

Great pics!! That pic with your Mom with the shrimp scampi cracked me up. I’m sure it was some kind of an optical illusion, but the plate almost looked bigger than her…..lol. Looks like you guys had a nice time at the slot pull and fireworks.

 

Yeah the wonder 4 I can last a long time on a single hundred dollar bill but if it's not paying takes quicker but still lasts a while due to miss kitty wilds paying at least half your bet bet or quarter of your bet almost every spin. I look at what all 4 game jackpots are at before choosing what machine to play also. It's a great game to get your points up that's for sure.

I thought that too -- and then started getting whacked very quickly when playing Wonder 4 machines (Aristocrat). Never play fewer than all four games on Wonder 4, and realize that a greater percentage of the return to player is tied up in the various types of bonus rounds (and, where applicable, progressives) compared to the base game. Example -- standalone Buffalo Gold Collection is far "nicer" to the player outside of the bonus rounds compared to the same game as part of Wonder 4 Wonder Wheel. Another example -- Buffalo Deluxe crushes me when I play Wonder 4 Jackpots and happen to not hit the game-specific progressive jackpot, but I usually fare quite well on it in standalone form (except for that one morning at Palazzo on my most recent trip).

 

Looked online on how many points I am up to now at cosmo. 3,982 points. I think I was at around 1200 points before my last trip 4th of july which was strong. Played until 2am to make sure I was not triggering a new gaming day. No idea what time a new gaming day starts there for slot playing. I did buy shirts from the gift shop a little after 2am and earning cosmo points for my purchase, so if 2am I hope going to the gift shop did not affect anything. My last 2 cosmo trips I averaged about 600 points. My 4th of july trip, a lot.

• Binions my first time ever playing in there, I got about 2000 points and I know that because I was able to get out $200 free play at the end with their promotion. I wonder how much free play they will send me. I assume that because 4 queens is june july august for their offers they already sent me, that binions and 4 queens will send soon for september. The only thing about binions I do not like is being limited on what I could use the free play on. I cannot even use it on konami games I like to play, so I used the free play on dollar machines (the ones with the multiplier in the free games) and also some on wonder 4 which had the B sticker too. I was not a fan of a lot of the slots that had the sticker on. At least at 4 queens you can play just about anything off free play.

• 4 queens I got 700 points I found out the last night if my trip (played there on the 2nd, went in to redeem the promotion on the 5th). I hope just redeeming the promotion on the 5th and just playing the free play did not hurt my strong play from the 2nd. I am trying to get my offers back up there. I was getting 300 free play before I got bumped down to 30 for mostly playing free play the last few trips there.

• Golden Nugget I did not really pay attention much on points both days I played (had free play 2 different days so I had to do 2 gaming days. I like to stay strong there because I love how they do their promotion and offers). First day july 3rd I I think I averaged 2000 + points. Second day July 5th I think about 600 something because it was getting late and was leaving to head home the next morning. I think its 10 a point so getting points is not easy if your low betting but easier if you are high betting and the slots always pay good to me there so I can bet higher.

• Plaza I got 4000 something points when I swiped at the kiosk at the end of my play. I think their the only ones that is a dollar a point I think. Also my first time ever playing there. I have had a card but never put any play in.

• Golden Gate sucked and even the free play did not pay good there. Golden gate was not Golden last trip. Golden gate paid the worse out of all the casinos I visit and only a few bonuses, which was on Buffalo and did not pay back what I put in. I like bonuses that pay back what I put in to get the bonus plus more.

• D: played good there but I do not remember how many points I earned there but I know it was a good trip there. I think I saw 2000 points at one time.

• Circa: was able to play for a few hours at high bet but the slots were not really paying until the end a few machines saved me, but did not pay attention at all on points.

• El Cortez I earned enough points to earn 10 comp dollars for their pick a gift or free play promotion. I think 15 dollars worth of comps I earned and there was no multiplier the day I played. Not going back to el cortez until after the new set of offers come out, which would be October, November, December.

• California: I checked online and I am at 3,705 tier credits now. I only played july 2nd, july 3rd, and july 5th at the cal. I think I was at 400 something tier credits before my 4th of july weekend trip. Someone did mention in here that free play is now loaded in your card and do not need a hotel stay anymore to use the free play? Have others tried and can confirm that you can do that now and if it actually hast to be at the boyd casino you actually played at?

Note: Club One comps online is at $425 and I know it was around the same before my 4th of july weekend trip. At Circa I bought 3 shirts with my comp dollars which used up about $60 of my comps. Oh and September and October offers are online now. Offers are exactly the same for all 3 club one casinos, which means my memorial weekend trip (had a really really good strong trip at circa, kind of strong at D) did not count toward my september/October trip but should for november/december. I was expecting a lot more free play for sure from circa and hopefully free rooms but maybe for the november/december.

Because the slots were paying for majority of the casinos and I was able to keep playing, I was able to keep betting higher and getting a lot of points at each casino to get a bunch of free play for my next trip. I even bought things we liked including giving my mom money to keep playing (She low rolls, not as confident as me in betting higher when hot). Goal on all my trips is to start off strong winning off the free plays and then hopefully be able to play big but when I know I have a lot of money in my wallet, it is harder to win off free play. Mental thing I guess. My 4th of july trip weekend my free play did not pay all that good, probably because I had a lot of cash with me from the previous trip memorial weekend. The free play was a bonus though to help the slots pay once I did get to the cash to put in so I guess that counts. I know for sure offers will go up for cosmo, first time offers for binions and plaza should be good, california should go up, el cortez for sure I hope (I was shocked my first ever offers from them showed me 40 free play same as my mom and made sure this play was a strong one playing more hours there hoping it changes, but will not see any new offers October. Current offers I have go from july to September).

A lot of money eating came on machines that I have never played before that are new and wanted to try. Some paid ok, some ate. The ones I am familiar with like the konami games I like to play (china mystery, china shores, dragons law, those types...) I do good on as an example and likes to give me my losses from previous machines back. Same with wonder 4 because I am familiar with how they pay and Cleopatra. Most of the new games were pretty much dead spins and no bonuses.

Oh and speaking of new games, I really love that devil game at cosmo. It is fun when you hit the devil bonus and hope you get jokers and anything but the devil and if you hit 3 devils the game is over. Each time I hit the bonus I would get what I put in plus a little more. I got off after I counted a certain number of dead spins/low paying spins in a row. Then I walked by a little while later and someone was winning again on the one I was on. Maybe I should of stayed on.

 

I will have to hunt down the new devil game at Cosmo.
