It's really hard to see someone you love suffer. I'm so very sorry for your loss, I know it hurts. Don't let the pain of his death overshadow all the good years you shared. You are in my prayers

DaiLun, I'm so sorry. I wish I knew the right thing to say. I hope you can find some peace in all you did for him and the time you spent together. Take care of yourself.

I'm sorry for your huge loss. Condolences to you and your family. Always hard. May he rest in peace and strength be with you.

DaiLun, I just finished reading your latest trip report and then found this... I am so sorry for the loss of your father. You will both be in my prayers tonight. Take care.

I'm really sorry to hear this DaiLun. Reading from your reports, I can tell you are willing to do a lot for your family. I'm glad to hear your father has had such a caring son after all those years.

So sorry for the loss of your father (and your mother). You did the right thing. Seven + years of dialysis had to be awful for him. My mom couldn't even take it one time.

I think you mean Neptune Society? Both of my parents and my grandma were cremated through them and they certainly made the whole process easy. Because of that, both my husband and myself have paid for those services already.

You're a good son. Don't ever second guess your motivation. You did what was best for your father.

I'm very sorry for your loss, being the one to make the decisions about his care is a bad job.

Sorry also for your loss, ,everybody looks at these situations differently, I just want to die when my time comes especially if I live to be over 80.
I think you did the right thing, when someones quality of life is that bad let them pass away in peace.

DaiLun,

I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. My thoughts and prayers are for your comfort and strength at this time.

Our flesh hurts because our loved ones have passed on, but our spirits are comforted that they are at peace and no longer hurting.

We will see them again.

I'm so sorry for your loss DaiLun. It's so very hard to lose a loved one, especially when we are forced to become a part of it. Please do not feel guilty, you knew your Father best and decided on what was right for him. We made the decision to put my Mother-in-Law on life support once. She did come through that episode but told us she didn't want that again. She ended up staying in the hospital for 5 weeks before passing and would have been more comfortable had we not had her on life support that first time. You did the right thing for your Dad.

good for him 90 years is great. 7 years on dialysis is a long time. I am sure that he knew he had the best son that he could ask for. I don't think anyone could accuse you of being selfish.

I am very sorry for your loss; never second guess decisions made with love!
