I decided to post this Atlantic City Trip Report, this is the first on this site> I usually just post over on Bonnie's site. I wanted to give a take on AC after some of our other members posted information which helped me decide whether I wanted to actually go. This report is much shorter than my usual reports because I usually have some food pictures, but none this time. I did a quite a bit of research prior to my trip, but actual experience will be measured against expectations and whether they are filled. I stayed at Caesars and only ventured a couple times to Bally’s. I never did go to Harrah’s this trip. My perspective it was about what I thought it would be. I knew that masks were required in all public areas. I did not venture to Ocean or the Hard Rock which I thought I would take a walk on the boardwalk. There was some rain on Thursday and Friday of my trip so I stayed put at Caesars. Various measures were in place at the casinos and published protocols were pretty much in place, however, there were no temperature checks done. I've been doing temperature checks daily at home and while I was in AC. There were numerous stations for hand sanitizers. There was no seating in indoor restaurants, though some have take out for instance Gordon Ramsay Pub which I took away food four times to eat in my room to eat. Tazza is an all day breakfast/lunch takeout, which I went to every morning they have various pastries and all kinds of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I did those for every breakfast. I ventured to Bally’s to take out from Harry’s Oyster bar which I left after 20 minutes due to virtually no service trying to get take our at the outdoor bar. I have no pictures of take-out(away) food, pictures of food in card board containers, in my opinion, aren’t very picturesque. Though the food was pretty good. Gambling wise every other machine is turned off, in order that you won't get too close to others. Table games have plastic dividers and a maximum number of players. Elevators are four people max, though a couple times I was on the elevator and people had kids and we were five on the elevator. I was pleasantly surprised that wait times weren't that long. My guess is that lots of people are still staying away because the casino wasn’t that full considering every other machine was not functional, plus no entertainment. I wasn't in a casino since February though that was just a day trip. I also did a 3-night rip in January. My March trip was to be 6 nights that had to be cancelled. So that made me very anxious to get back to do this AC trip. Overall it was not a winning trip, my first two hands at VP I had 4 cards to a Royal, though no Royal Flush this trip. I had two hand-pays and I had several $800 wins a couple of which I took a picture and one picture of straight flush. I added a picture of my view of the beach from my room. I also posted my VP hits in the Video Poker Forum. I wasn't in a casino since February though that was just a day trip. I also did a 3-night rip in January.
