Help me out with these one guys... Once I was in Vegas I ate at this real nice little cajun/creole place that served crab and crayfish marinated in plastic bags. It was messy and the place was a little dumpy but oh darn was it good.
I've been wanting to go back ever since but I haven't found the place despite extensive googling.

It was somewhere west of the strip, anyone know the place I'm talking about?

It was probably Hot N Juicy - a small chain with 3 valley locations - 4810 Spring Mountain Rd, 3863 Spring Mountain Rd and
the recently opened at 9560 S. Eastern Ave in Henderson. Boiling Crab is similar - 4025 S Decatur Blvd.

Hmmm not fancy, but they have really great sandwiches at Capriotti's sandwich shop, there is a whole bunch of them in Vegas.

Also in downtown Pizza Rock is great!

I'm wanting to go to Forte which is in Spring Valley, I believe. Saw it on DDD and want to try the Thracian Clay Pot. Might go there on our way to Red Rock when we're there in May.

Here are some (not all) restaurants that are currently on my bucket list either based on past experience or restaurant critic/diner reviews:

9 On The Plate, 8560 W. Desert Inn @ Durango, closed Sun, D only - both traditional and modern Korean - participates in Restaurant.com.
We dined there last trip and heading back next trip.

Art of Flavors, 1616 LV Blvd, next to Viva Arepas - best gelato in Las Vegas

    Austin's Steakhouse @ Texas Station
We share the bone-in rib-eye - always excellent and priced right when you use LVA's $25 off a $50 check

Bachi Burger, 470 E Windmill Ln.
Slow service has me hesitant to try, but the restaurant receives rave reviews.

Baguette Café, 8359 W. Sunset Road, open M-F 7AM-5PM, quiche, ½ Moroccan chix sand w/soup
Very small out of the way luncheon spot - excellent
