    Evening all,

I've been given the task of planning a trip to Vegas for me and 5 newbies.

I want to be conscious not to cram as many activities in to the trip as too many things can become overwhelming.

That said, if you had to recommend one activity/restaraunt/show/club (cheap or expensive) that really gives you that Vegas feel what would you recommend?

    * All 25-28 year old males from the UK if that's helps.

If you like the London Eye, try the High Roller. Fabulous views of the entire strip.

We always try and get out in the desert a little, if you have a car heading out to the dam and the bridge is a fairly short trip.

I wouldn't bother with that if you are only in town for a short stay though.

Maybe an evening on Fremont, lots of good energy down there, and cheaper eats.

Get some drinks, check out the fountain, volcano, people watch and sit outside at Margaritaville.

If you are all getting in on the same flight, I'd consider getting a limo to pick you up at the airport. Then before dropping you off at the hotel have them stop by the Vegas sign for a picture and drive up and down the strip (especially awesome at night).

I'm cheap, so I've only done this once - on my mom's first trip to Vegas, but it was great. Drinking a bottle of champagne while cruising the strip is a wonderfully Vegas thing to kick off your trip with.

Bellagio fountain, Frank Sinatra singing 'New York, New York', six man line dance sing-along, no cameras. (Unless someone else records it and goes viral.) And while playing in a casino, loudly demand something that the casino would give you anyway, such as "I insist that gin and tonics shall be provided to myself and my friends." Or my personal favorite, "What do we have to do to get a cheese sandwich!" Your mileage may vary.

    1.) Bar with a view!
I highly recommend getting drinks around sunset with your group at a place where they can see the sun set and the lights of Las Vegas turn on.
It's truly magical and it's one of the things I never get tired of seeing.
There are quite a few places that have fantastic views.
    Here's a great article :

Seeing a view like this as a group really builds the excitement for the trip and everyone gets a perfect pre-game buzz going on too!

2.) Fremont Street - Friday or Saturday nights are the best times to visit.
Go after it gets dark because there will be bands and the FSE shows are once per hour

For a group of guys - a VIP Club Crawl/Tour or rent a Cabana and spend some time at the pool!

    Vegas feel? What era?

If you want that classic Vegas vibe then have dinner at Oscar's on at The Plaza on Fremont at dusk and then do downtown.

    What a great view!

No kidding. A young group of guys need to bed drinking, gambling, and looking at women one way or another! Unless I am wrong, then maybe take a tour of all of the buffets Vegas has to offer or go to the m&m store :rolleyes2:

Go to one of the major pool parties and/or (I recommend "AND") one of the big nightclubs. EBC and XS are my favorites but even the so-called "second tier" places are quite an experience compared to your local scene. Maybe combine day and nightclubs into a single outing by going to Nightswim at Surrender - that's an experience you can't have many other places. Look around and buy presale tickets that are within your budget, and then pregame while walking the Strip or at a buffet with a bottomless booze option.

And to further not answer your question - this is my number one tip to newbies, especially groups - leave plenty of time to get everywhere. It takes at least 30 minutes to walk anywhere in LV, even places that seem to be "next door". Add in flex time (the later in the day, the more you need) for drink breaks, bathroom breaks, chatting with strangers breaks, gawking at bizarre scenes breaks, and that guy in the group that can't walk past a roulette table without throwing $20 down on black.
