at the Cal? It WAS 9/5 Prog for 25c at MSS...But Cal was always 9/6 non-prog, at the bar(s). (upstairs for sure)

I just don't want to give him another little dig and I'll wait and see what happens. He has always been very good about replying to my emails, so I don't want to burn that bridge. I did tell him our group consists of thousands of members (?) and we talk about casinos, paytables, odds etc.

I played one of the new machines for a couple of hours this morning and the DDB is 8/5.

On a better note..for the 9/6 JoB...the theo HAS to be better, because now the SuperStar units have a SLOT on them (whereas before, it was just Keno)....so, they may actually be the best play around...

Looks like I'll be playing $0.25 DDB at Four Queens in 5 weeks.

Sorry but as much as I love MSS I'll go to the strip to play 8/5 DDB.

I'll say it again Tim. You have wrong assumptions on how theoreticals work. What you say here was true in the 1990's but that's far outdated today. I think I remember you are in I/T. Do you really think in 2015 all the games in a machine have the same theoretical value? No, they don't. And because a machine has a slot game in it, doesn't mean it has an effect on the theoreticals of the VP games on that machine.

    +1.

But my guess is that theos on many new units can be individually set by game, or game class. But my question is, are they typically set that way? Casinos are really dumb sometimes. For example, Tunica Roadhouse doesn't offer DDB w/STP or DSTP on their All Star II game units and they have now been there for over 18 months. Just Double Bonus (96.38% base) and Deuces Wild (95.96% base) on those games. Nobody ever plays those games on those things because people generally want to play DDB!!! Many more play the standalone units with Double STP because they do offer 7/5 DDB (95.71% base). And no one ever plays the DB on those even though it's 2.3% higher than 7/5 DDB except yours truly...:evillaugh They haven't changed a damn setting on either of those banks at all, so whatever theo was initially set by IGT over 18 months ago, they probably just went with.

Zig, you can just post here then...
I'll post what I know, but it's a lot to type, and I'm on my phone right now.
I'll just quickly say, downtown Boyd and Sams Town, are using systems from the 90's...

I looked at the paytables on the STP on the new machines at the MSS Bar. All STP is just 25c with 3/5/10 play - 6/5 BP (96.87%), 8/5 DDB (96.79) and 16/13 DW (96.77%).

BTW The two new machines on the far left of this bar are not Super Star, thus the video poker is single-line only. The next three are Super Star Poker. I really think that all five were Super Star a few days ago when I looked at them.

Also the Main St. Bar at the Cal now has five new machines. The two on the far left have single-line vp and the next three are Super Star with some multiline games. I didn't look too closely at the paytables except for the STP which is exactly like the STP at the MSS bar.

Was hoping for better, but not terribly shocking for shiny new units with STP.:(

The slot director gave Joe the "brush off" it looks like...unless changes typically take more than 10 days...and I'm sure they don't. Boyd is really tightening the screws DT lately it seems...:(

The game kings got downgraded from 7/5 too?? If you meant STP, Yokel pointed that out. :)
