Friday continued: Great nap, did a load of laundry, went down to the casino and played on $20.00 for a half hour till it was gone. Ran into Mrs. V in the hall headed to the casino looking pretty relaxed from her spa time. Decided to do more laundry and head back down to the casino. I played BJ 3-2 $5.00 min 6-deck for a half hour and was up $50.00. I was the only one and doing well, then a couple of people jumped in and there went all my luck. Dropped all but $12.50. Tipped the dealer $5.00 and finished up $7.50 and went over to see how the wife was doing at vp. She had dropped $40.00 so I stepped in and dropped another $10.00. We decided it was time to head to JERRY’S NUGGET for supper and to clean up our comps and collect on the Wild win. Up $25.00 more on sports gambling today. We also gave our LVA book to my favorite ticket writer, Kiana. Then we went to the coffee shop I had the Steak & Shrimp for $13.89 and the wife had the Philly Cheesesteak $!0.89. The philly was huge and Mrs. V said it was excellent. During supper we played some KENO - hit nothing so we lost $15.00. For the first time at JERRY’s NUGGET, we decided to have dessert and it does taste as good as it looks. I had the banana pie and the wife had chocolate pie and WOW were those good. We also got an éclair and loaf of bread to go. Then headed back to the Skyline.
The wife rolled but did not get three of a kind so no free room for us. Thanks for the best wishes. You are correct about it being a possible free room here at the Skyline. When the Mrs. checked in she asked how many have rolled and won and was told 3 people.
Went down to the SKYLINE CASINO and played deuces wild for about an hour and a half lost $25.00. Nice bar with good bartenders - mixed a strong drink and kept the wife in miller lite. Fun evening. Really like the SKYLINE - nice and quiet for a last night in Vegas. Tomorrow we hit the road again. On to Wichita Kansas. Doubt we will make it in one today.
Was that at the bar? And fyi, holding 222 for two shots at 4 deuces (and possibly 4 deuces plus Ace for double payout) is way more valuable than holding a wild royal card (unless it's 222A on Bonus Deuces, then yeah hold it). Glad you converted though!
Love the report!!! Nice to see the other sights..... Mrs and I tend to hit one casino and not move. She hates to repack.... going this week so will have to check out the Bond machines....
Mr. V I have so enjoyed your trip report, especially the pictures, as I have seen things I never knew existed from your pictures, such as the Skyline Hotel and casino. I can only suspect that you or Mrs. V. did a lot of research before you took this road trip. Have safe travels on your way back home.
Wow, what a thorough and impressive TR!! Lots of great information and pics of places I’ve never been to in the Vegas area. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to share. Well done.
Please drive carefully! It looks like the upper Midwest is going to get slammed starting late this evening into tomorrow.
@tringlomane , I'm a novice at this VP thing - only played before to get free drinks. Now in our last couple of trips I have began to enjoy VP more so we have been playing more. Here they have this game called Bar Blackout Bingo for a natural 4 of and kind, Dueces through Aces. I think it is on all of the VP games not just Dueces Wild but will have to check on that. Once you get a four of a kind, you ask the bartender for a Bingo Card and they stamp on the card the one you hit. After you hit them all you get $200.00 cash. The card is good forever (as long as your remember to bring it back) so you can use it over many trips. I did not get to start a card but I really like this promotion for when we are in Vegas in the future. @spicole thanks for the weather update. Had no idea that was coming. I have to attend a conference on tillage in Hutchinson Kansas Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Not looking forward to that but don 't want to be stuck in a hotel on the road either.
