    Hey folks,

Planning a trip for this summer and looking at daytime activities. We might want to catch a matinee show to get off our feet for a little while. Are there are on-strip movie theaters?
I'm looking at staying at the Venetian, for what it's worth.

    Thanks! :)

Yes, but not near the Venetian. There is a regal cinemas near the MGM Grand. Its behind the hard rock, right across from the wall surrounding the Mansion

Palms theaters are pretty nice. 14 screens including an Imax. $5 Monday's.

Close to the strip, Orleans has a Boyd shuttle that goes to and from the strip and they also have movie theaters.

If you go to the Palms you could also take the boyd shuttle to Gold Coast from the strip and walk across the street to the Palms.

This is your best option. You can also get in there from the Coke store on the strip, cant miss that giant bottle. take the elevator, inside said bottle, and you are there

Does that route still get you there? I used it about a decade ago, but I didn't realize they still had an entrance since it became a regal cinema and not a UA.

I would think so, pretty sure there was nothing on the top floor, when you took the elevator, but the overpass entry to the theater. I honestly havent seen a movie in vegas in years. I dont think switching ownership of the theater should matter.

If it no longer does, just walk along the side of the coke store and you are there. no sweat. Still the closest theater on the strip.

Yeah, I don't know. I used that the first time I went to that theater, but after I realized that the theater was actually on the ground floor and the street next to it was pretty easy to cross (very little traffic), I just stopped using it. Since they removed the ticket window from the Showcase mall, it made me think they may have also eliminated that entrance (but no idea, its just a guess)

My bride and I have seen a couple of flicks at the Showcase Mall cinema.
A nice quiet break for an hour-and-a-half, good popcorn, and fun in the dark, sparsely-populated theater! :wink2:

could also take the free shuttle to Samstown at Harrahs. They have 12? screen theatre. Certain days are discounted. Could even go bowling while there as a daytime activity. Coulc also catch the Orleans shuttle at the high roller. They have an 18 screen theatre
