Has anyone rented a motorcycle while in Vegas?

We were thinking about renting some for just one day to go to Valley of Fire and then take the route back via Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.

It looks like either Las Vegas Harley or Eagle Riders is the most reasonable price wise but sometimes cheaper isn't better.

I would love any advise from someone who has done this.

Great to know thanks. Their website doesn't show anything on motorcycles, I will give them a call.

I've never driven a motorcycle so I can't help with the rental, but your trip idea sounds fantastic.

If you want to avoid the interstate, I saw a backroad that will take you from near Nellis out to the road into VOF. I think it was Spanish Trail or something similar.

We will definitely be avoiding the interstate. I don't even go on the interstate in Maine on my motorcycle so the interstate in Vegas would feel like committing suicide to me .

I have been looking at Google Maps and it looks like if we just follow Las Vegas Blvd north it will take us to where we need to go. Of course I'm not sure of what kind of neighborhoods we will be driving through though, so maybe that is more of a death wish than the interstate.

thanks for the input Sonya. I am open to any advise or trip ideas.

Got to give a shout to EAGLE RIDER. ( http://www.eaglerider.com/ ) Its a nation wide Motorcycle rental operation. Mostly Harleys but they do have some Hondas, Triumph's etc.
I have never rented a bike (i have my own) but everyone I know and biker msg board people swear by them. Apparently the rental process is a breeze and the bikes are in top notch condition.
According to their site, there is 3 locations in Vegas. And they do one way rentals..

I personally would feel better renting a bike from a company that specializes in bikes than a car company.

Thanks for your suggestions tvon.
Eagle Rider seemed like the best option from everything that I had read online, I just wanted to see if there was something else out there that I was missing.

I just wish Southwest would let me include my motorcycle as part of the two free bags. :)

If we do rent I was thinking about renting one of the Indians. I've never ridden one before but always liked the looks of them. Thanks for the link tvon.

Yea, last year during Laconia bike week I was going to test ride a bunch of bikes, but I never got down to the speedway in time. This year for sure.
