I'm staying at Monte Carlo for one night on my upcoming trip. My Mlife offers suck this trip because I didn't play at their casinos much last trip. Not too excited about Monte Carlo, but hey, free is free.

My offer has $50 in "rewards resort credit". I've had resort credit with other offers before and never had issues using it at the hotel I'm staying at. However, because of the renovation and not much to offer at Monte Carlo, will I be able to use the resort credit at other properties?

I know there have been similar threads like this before, but they're old and not much help.

Oh yeah... after you check in inform them you will charge food to your room - and any MGM owned property's when you get the tell them room number and name of hotel then you will be fine. I do it all the time.

The last time i stayed at Aria , we ate at MGM Grand and charged it to our room thinking the resort credit would cover it , but when we checked out we where told that the resort credit was only good at Aria restaurants , Not sure if this is the same at all MGM resorts but i would ask at check in if it covers all property's. Our host did cover the charge on back end comps but we would have been on the hook for it if she didn't

And when you check in note the name on the name tag. Although probably recoverable from the terminal for check in, they will probably say "not sure who told you that but that isn't the way it works". Then you can say matter of factly it was ........... And stare back.

We stayed this past Tuesday night for one night and the room credit could be used at any MGM resort, just charge it to the room. All was charged correctly on my card :)

Edited to add Monte Carlo didn't have many food options opened anymore. We actually checked out a day early our bathroom had no electricity ( they kept telling us it would be back soon) and the construction noise started at 6:35 am. They cancelled the 2nd night but still charged me the one resort fee night

Not a great sign. My offer is for one of the renovated Park rooms, so maybe it will be okay?

    Thanks for the info!

Aria tends to be the exception with resort credits in the MGM family... They want you to spend those credits at Aria only.

I think you will be fine. I do suggest calling them or asking when checking in to verify where resort credits can be spent.
