    My Trip Report

    MM4 TR

After many months of planning, MM4 arrived. I made sure to shut off my phone on the 20th and then forgot on the night of the 21st. When I was awakened by my cell a 4:15am by Sin, Patti, and Larry, I knew trouble may lie ahead. Yep, wife was not happy. Dooh! So when I walked out the door for Vegas with a 3 hour layover at work, I felt more guilty than normal. That guilt passed quickly as I dialed up the gruesome threesome on my way to work. Sin was getting hit in the head with creamers while dining at Ellis Island. Yea, that’s nice. Told them to hold down the fort as I would be there soon.

Travel on SWA as usual, but I booked a continuing flight that originated in Hartford. Dooh! I had the 5th spot in the A line and was not sure I would get my sought after exit row seat with mucho leg room. As I meandered down the aisle, the middle seat was still open. Woohoo! First big win of the trip. The guys in the window and aisle seats said they were hoping for a hot chick. I told them “too bad dudes, I need the legroom more than some hot chick does” and they laughed. After listening to them talk I figured they must be some type of engineers that designed military ordinance because they were talking about bombs and other military stuff. Turns out these boys were A-10 pilots with Connecticut Air Guard. Second win. They were going to practice at Nellis for a week with the Idaho Air Guard, gearing up for deployment in Iraq. Being the holder of 4 coupon books of drink coupons I said, “Boys the drinks are on me”. I had spent some time in the past working on some bases that they had been stationed at and we discussed of all things, strip clubs. I also asked if firing the gatlin gun on the front of the A-10 was as cool as it looked on TV, and they both said it was much cooler. LOL. The 4 hour flight went by in no time as we chatted the whole way out. Awesome guys.

Heading to the crowded luggage carousel some ****** bag bumped into me and I turned to look and the ****** bag was our own LVTerry. LOL. I grabbed my bags and we headed to a bar for a drink that took forever to obtain. By the time Terry returned, we were joined by Al. Sweet. We pounded our first drinks of MM4 (thanks Terry).Terry made a great save for me as I had left my computer bag in the bar. Thanks again T. Then we cabbed over to IP. The boys got nervous when I called Angy and told her “to make my fuckin dinner and it better be hot when I get there!” They mistakenly thought I was talking to Sin, who would have kicked me square in the nuts for speaking to her that way even in jest. LOL.

We VIP checked in. No waiting in line with the “rabble” for us. I dropped stuff off in room, cleaned myself up, and headed to the sweet suite that Angy and Sin were camping in for the duration of the festivities. Very nice room. After a drink we headed DT by limo to MSS for a great dinner with Eric/Jack21, Becky-Coaster Kikky, Vegas Tonya, John-CoasterHubby, John-Silversmiff, Sin, Patti, Terry, Al, Angy, Shock-Scott, Vegas Jer, and myself. Did I forget anyone? Yep Larry-Sanofresurfer

Afterwards the group split into 2 and some attended Don Rickles show, and others hanging around MSS. I called Falcon Rob and he headed over. Silversmiff and I played craps for a bit with no love so we moved on down to Plaza at the end of the TN/ OSU game.

We moved onto a craps table there and made a nice run, turning my hundy into a $440. Mikey, Big Stogie-George, Stickaay, Big Tips-Marlisha, and Sammi showed up and it was game on. I went and tried some BJ at Marlisha’s table (had her own table because she’s a High Roller) and lost a hundy in 3 hands. Went back to craps with a bunch of the boys and lost another hundy. At that point the Rickles group returned and we all headed to Binion’s for some Poker. Mikey snagged us a private table and we played for quite a while. It was great fun with plenty of smack to go around but I cashed out $89 lighter in the wallet. Some others tried bull riding and dancing. Patti, Jer, Scott and I cabbed back to IP around 2:30am. Patti, Scott, and I got some breakfast and were joined by Terry and we teased a drunken Scott, who had drunk about a pint of tequila via Terry during the game. I hit the bed around 3:30am

I woke up around 8:30 and tossed and turned for quite awhile. I ordered room service and a full belly helped me nap a bit more. Got cleaned up around 11am and went down to casino to look for any other survivors. No one was around so I headed up to the suite around noon. Sin, Patti, and Jer were hanging out. We were joined by Scott, Al, Corey, Larry, and Terry throughout the afternoon as we yucked it up and enjoyed adult beverages. The girls and Jer had ordered room service shortly before I had arrived, so when it showed up I grabbed the new vibrator Sin had purchased and gave it a big sniff like a fine Cuban cigar in front of the delivery guy. I think he still might be laughing.

Terry suggested we go to Maggiano’s Little Italy for some dinner. My plan was to catch a few hours of sleep before the party but how could I resist a dinner out with the traveling GONG SHOW! We walked down around 5pm. We did family style. We had stuffed mushrooms, tomatoes with mozzarella, house salad, ceasar salad, ziti with sausage, 4 cheese ravioli, chicken parmigian, and some type of fried veal. It was all awesome and we finished off a few bowls and ordered more for doggie bags. The meal ran a little long but the company was outstanding, much to the dismay of others around us I am sure. LOL. Good call Terry!

Andy (Chef) had called Sin and offered to come pick us up. Terry, Al, and Corey walked back while we slugs waited for the Chefmobile. It has become tradition at T2V meets that Chef must haul our asses somewhere, and that tradition continues. It was about 7:30pm I guess and everyone headed up to the suite for the party except yours truly. I went to the room to check in at home and change clothes. I feel asleep for a little bit, but the phone kept ringing and beeping with text messages to “get up here” and “where the fuck are u bitch?”, so I moseyed up to the party just before10pm. I grabbed a drink and began to circulate amongst the masses. I saw DonD, who we weren’t sure would be attending, but not his wife Jen. He and I talked and he soon left to go take care of Jen who stayed in the room due to some medical problems (Get Well Soon Jen!). I met stuffic at the bar and we talked a bit about Chicago. Andrea and I shared some talk and I gave her a big hug. How could you not hug a beautiful girl who calls you Baby Puffin? All in all a very nice party with buffoon nation and nothing got raped on the balcony.

Some of the crowd hit the wall after too much drink or little or no sleep over the past couple days. Mikey corked out, and Sin called it a night too, so the rest of us went down to tempt the games of chance offered by the lovely Imperial Palace. Angy, Patti, and I played some BJ while others got a private poker table. After losing my hundy, I sought out a seat in the poker room. Two non-T2Vers had gotten seats at the table so I tried to pull a Terry and told the 2 clowns I would give them $10 for either of their seats. The one dude said “$40”, and I responded “yea right” after looking at his stack. Same dude got into a hand and got raped by one of T2V’s finest, so now I say “I’ll give ya 7 bucks now.” He finally busted and I bought in for a hundy. After maintaining my buy in with the button sliding around the table a few times, I went on a tear and won 4 hands in a row, much to the dismay of T2V nation and especially Sammi, who gave me lots of cash the last 2 winning hands. I told her that’s what she gets for busting me out in the last online T2V poker tourney, where she beat me heads up for 1st place. She assured me she would get even at the poker tourney the next day. I responded by saying “yea, but I’m buying in with YOUR MONEY!” Hee! Hee! Hee! I’m not the best smack talker, but I get off a good shot once in awhile. Do I get extra points for smack to a New Yorker?

After that Jer went on a tear killing a bunch of players so we decided it was time for grub. I cashed out up $91 and Sticky, Doug, Corey and I got some breakfast before calling it a night at 5:30.

Again I had trouble sleeping and got up around 10:30. I called Scott and we met for lunch before the tourney. I talked to my friend Buck (Trevor) who was flying out this evening about some bets he wanted on Bball games. I placed the bets and went to the poker room. I found the package with the maroon robe I had ordered and shipped to Becky’s, and put on the robe. Now I was ready to play cards! I did fairly well making the final table and finishing 9th by playing tight. Blinds were going up and I was getting short stacked so I went all-in while in the Big blind with K 7 suited. Erock called me, and he had Q 10 off. It went to the river, and Erock pulled a 9 for a straight to the Q, eliminating my ass. That poker tourney is truly the best entertainment value in Vegas at $55. Thanks for the hard work setting that up Dougie.

I watched Jack21/Eric eliminate all comers and be crowned champion of the tourney. It was nice to see a fish win again. After that I headed up to room to nap a bit as Buck would be arriving around midnight. I slept for a while, and then went to the suite to see if anyone was around. I found Angy and Silversmiff having a drink at the bar. Andrea was coming over to pick up Angy and meet up with Eric at Mandalay, so John and I go play craps downstairs. It started out really badly. I had bought in for $200, and added another $100 to keep playing. The next 2 hours were fucking magic. Every shooter was making his point at least 3 times before 7 outing. One dude rolled 7-11 6 times in a row on the come out. I got the dice the first time and had those babies for 30 minutes. By now I was playing $30 on the 6/8 and $10 passline with full odds. Oh yeah. When I went over the $800 total chip mark I banked the $800 to lock in a $500 win. Now the table was screaming and hollering at every roll. My name was now BLUE as I had a light blue shirt on, and John had become HOOTERS in reference to his Hooters hat. Some times I don’t show much emotion when gambling, and during my roll I guess I wasn’t. The fellas on the other end of the table kept yellin ”DON’T SMILE BLUE!” The roll continued around the table and I had another $500 in chips in my rack and sore hands from all the high-fiving and fist bumping. At one point we had a new shooter at the other end, and one of the fellas from the other end yells “BLUE, HE NEEDS A NAME!” I look at the new shooter and yell at the top of my lungs the first thing that came to my mind, “POOFY HEAD!” What a total laughter bomb. I had increased my play to $60 6/8 and $20 with full odds while having $1000 in my rack. All good rolls die sometime, and the table got choppy and my $1000 turned to $300. I threw the dealers 2 green and walked away $750 to the good. Too.Much.Fun!

During our roll Patti, Sin, and Scott had returned from dinner, so we went upstairs to regale them with our story. I was pumped up now. We sat around drinking in the suite. John(CoasterHubby) came to say goodbye and Buck finally calls that he’s in a cab. We go down to my room so he can drop off his bag. He shows up and we head DT to the Plaza. We play craps with a rude ass dealer and I lose a hundy. Sin gets a text from Al or Angy that they are at Hogs and Heifers with Joe Schmo (Mike E) and Andrea, so we make our way over there. I love slightly upscaled biker bars that are near empty. We share some drinks and plan to show Mike the ELCO. We wander over and Mike, Patti, Sin, Buck and I buy in on a $5 DDBJ table while the others go to eat. I go on a nice run and am up $500 quickly, and Patti is holding her own, but Sin, Mike, and Buck are getting shit-hammered. At one point Patti decides to start yelling “MONKEY” when she needs a face/10. I yell at her “I ain’t no monkey! My hair is RED, like an ORANGUTAN!”, and I dry hump her leg while yellin “ORANGUTAN!” I don’t know where the idea to dry hump Patti came from, but I am pretty sure it came from when Sin knocked Patti over so her legs were in my lap, all while playing black jack. That is just who we are I guess. LOL.

Sin and Mike leave for Pai gow and Angy, Andrea, Al and Scott walk by saying they are leaving to play butt quarters or some such. Ok, guys, get right on that. I maintain my stack and Buck, who has dug into his pocket several times, has battled back to close to even. It’s getting late and Patti is tired of the ORANGUTAN, so she and I go to cash out. Buck stays and plays heads up against the dealer. That was a tactical error on his part, because she administers a severe beat down on my boy, and he is out $1200. Ouch. We say goodbye to Mike who is headed to Wynn, and Buck heads back to IP. Patti, Sin, and I head out for some breakfast and it is 7am and sunny when we arrive back at IP. My head hurts from the glare. LOL.

When I get upstairs Buck is nowhere to be found. Cool. He is playing something somewhere, making the most of his time in Vegas. I crash and yep, you guessed it, had trouble sleeping. I call Scott and plan to meet for lunch around 11am. But I fall asleep, wake up, then order room service, stiffing my boy Scott on lunch. I watch basketball a while and Buckster rolls in just before 2pm. “Hey dude, where ya been?” I asked. He mumbles incoherently and crashes on the sofa bed. BUCK DOWN!!! I laugh, watch some more BBall, clean up, and head to the suite to see who is around. Angy, Patti, Sin, Scott, are lounging and planning to go to MSS to meet up with DonD and Jenn who are playing BJ, so we jump in a cab with a driver who was trying to qualify for the next Nascar race in Vegas. We find them and decide to eat at Upper Deck in Vegas Club. We get a big table for 7. Don and Jenn show up with Paul Utell in tow. He is a higher up at Vegas Club/Plaza. He lets us know any time we need anything, please give him a call. He is a nice guy, as he comped my friends and I 7 nights plus a bunch of meals at Plaza during MM3. He also gave Don a meal voucher for $70, which covered our meal. VERY NICE! We tipped the waitress a bunch, well over $40. She had tried to kill Sin when she dumped mine and Scott’s meal on the floor and she felt bad. Hopefully we brightened her day. And somewhere along the line I was telling a story about me and my dog taking a piss outside at my summer place, and DonD rudely interrupted my story with, “You let the dog suck your dick?” You probably had to be there, but everyone laughed and even I had to laugh at being made brunt of a joke. Good one Don.

The seven of us headed to GN after dinner and met up with Mikey, George, Marlisha, Sammi, and Corey and had a drink. I really like the looks of things in the casino, might have to stay there again. Mikey had the idea to play poker at Binion’s again and that sounded good. All of us except Patti, Sin, and Angy went and played poker. We had a high time playing again and I believe I was the big winner this night. I cashed out over $100 to the good. Old Snerty (Corey) might have had more, as he beat my eight high when I tried to bluff him out right near the end. And I also loved the fact I was getting good cards when Mikey was in the big blind. There’s something extra fun about raising to one of the original 6 MM Gangstas when at the poker table while they sit in the big blind. NO FLOP FOR YOOOOUUUU!

Afterwards most of us said goodbyes until next time. Scott, Corey, and I went to Vegas Club to rejoin Angy, Sin, and Patti. Angy had already left, and Sin was massaging Patti’s shoulders as she played Blackjack. How come I can’t get that service, dammit? We sidled up to the ¾ empty table and I bought in for $300. I still had a Horseshoe up my ass, as in just a few shoes I was up over a grand. We played a few more shoes and when I got down to $1100, I decided to cash out. I wanted a banana chip, but please, this is the Vegas Club, so I settled for 2 $500 chips. There is a picture of them somewhere. I tipped the dealer 2 green, we said goodbye to Corey, who was waiting for his friend to vacate Glitter Gulch, and we headed to IP.

We went up to my room to check on Buckster. It was now around midnite. Patti and Sin both teased my poor friend unmercifully while he lay in bed, and tried for an hour to get him to come to Ellis Island with us. They finally took no for an answer, and we went to eat.

I took over 30 minutes to get a table, so we endured some of the most hideous Karaoke ever heard on the planet. The Easter Mash? WTF is that? I’m surprised the fricken place did not get a bolt of lightening right then and there. It was dork central. Think trekkies meets karaoke. So what do I do? Join the land of the dorks and have Patti and Sin sign me up to sing “Ring of Fire”. I thought I would dodge the singing as we got seated, but the bouncer came over and said I was next. Oh well, here I go. While it was not my best effort, it still was better than the others IMHO, and it did not help that I was getting too much help from the other “patrons”. C’mon dude, you killed your song your way, let me kill mine my way. LOL.

We got our meals, 3 steak specials for those 3 and pancakes and bacon for me. They were pretty good and the price was right. We left EI and had trouble finding a cab. We finally got one and we went back up to my room to say our good byes. Yes Patti cried as always. Sin and I hugged and Scott and I flipped each other off. We all talked of next time and how great this time was for all of T2V. I went to bed around 3:30.

I awoke to Buckster hitting the shower around 6:30 am. He had just spent 17 hours in bed in Las Vegas, a new world record. He was heading to the book at Harrah’s to see what was up in the world of sports today, and he said he’d stop back before I left. I showered and went up to the suite around 9am. Angy was bright eyed and bushy tailed after all that rest, so she let me in. I used the occasion to say goodbye to Patti and Sin again in the proper way, busting into their room yelling “I’m huuuunnnnnggggrrrryy” and “Sppooooooon mmmmeeee Paaatttttttti”, in my most annoying voice I could muster up. We had a few more laughs, I said my goodbyes to Angy, and went back to the room. Buckster had been back and left already, so I tried calling him to no avail. It was time to go. I cabbed over to McCarran and it was over. The Madness was officially over for me.

I fell asleep for a bit waiting for boarding, and I did luck out and get an exit row seat on the way back. This was the last win of the trip and an unlikely one too as I was about 10th in the B line. I dozed in and out on the flight and was soon picking up my truck and driving home.

    RECAP
    - This was my 3rd winning trip out of 12. I was +$750 and I spent more winnings than that on lots of fun. PARTY!

Great report buddy. I can't believe I forgot Don's comment to you at the Upper Deck. Priceless! It was loads of fun to ride on the robe tails of the man with 2 rabbits feet in his pocket and a horseshoe up his ass.

Already looking forward to the next time

Great report Marty. You say you're "not the best smack talker, but I get off a good shot once in awhile"?

You're either really modest or lulling some future pidgeon into a false sense of security. Some of my biggest laughs of the meet came from you.

Looking forward to the next time!!!

    Marty,

I had to salivate over your craps success, as I was hit by a freakin' freight train repeatedly by the dice almost all weekend. Good to see someone got a monster roll.

Nice sitting next to you at the final poker table, and remember- "Fish are friends, not food" (name that movie)

I laughed so much this trip, but I think that was the biggest laugh of all. Always fun hanging out with my neighbor the ORANGUTAN!!!!, even if you do stand me up back home. :wink

Thanks for the kind words one and all.

I left out a couple funny momments. Consider this an addendum.

After dropping my bags in the room I caught the elevator going down to casino. It was crowded and after I got in I felt someone grab my ass and say "Bitch". I turned my head twice and finally recognized Larry way in the back. Good job Lar. Looks from other vator patrons was priceless. I just shook my head and mumbled, "fuckin Lar".

The other was at the party. Corey (Snert) had brought a box of assorted cigars for everyones enjoyment. After seeing the vibrator on the coffee table, I had an idea. I got the box and and put the vibe in there with the cigars. I waited a few minutes and then asked Corey to show me his smokes cause I no nothing about them. He just laughed when he saw THAT in there amongst his prized collection. As Jer said to me last week, "when Corey just laughed, I knew he was one of us". Too funny.

    Hey Gang...

    How about this idea..

When LV Dawn and I were there last week, we noticed and awful lot of big conference/private dining areas on the back side of the restaurant (down that little hallway that leads to the elevators that take you to the valet/cabstand at the mall)

Anyhow, what about a big group Saturday night dinner there at Maggianos? We can do family style, set up tables for 20 or 30 people... all we would have to do is make a reservation in advance.

    Thoughts?

I know that having a party on Friday, tourney on Saturday, and then a dinner on Saturday night is a big cut of the weekend if you're there with non-citizens of Buffoon Nation, but for those who make the trek alone, or that are coming out specifically as part of the T2V crowd, it would be a lot of fun.

Late into the game, but an awesome write-up, Marty!

Buck and I shared a cab back. I would have never thought he had that much energy left in him to continue until 2pm--sounds like it caught up with him later.

So have you received a call from a host at El Cortez offering you the entire top floor?
