Interesting playoff scenario today. I just wonder how motivated the winner of the first game will be to play hard in the second game or burn pitchers if it’s close considering they have to play tomorrow. I would even imagine the Mets might just tank the second game if they win game 1 so they only have to travel to Milwaukee instead of San Diego. It’s a couple hour difference in flight time.

 

Whoever wins the first game is going to sit everyone second game IMO, which is super dirty for the Diamondbacks.

He's swung at some bad pitches today.

 

He’s been out a while and he always swings at bad pitches lol. Decent power though. He accomplished his goal today. They pitched to Bobby and he beat them.

 

I disagree.

Vinnie's got a great eye and swinging at bad pitches isn't something he does much.
I do agree with him in the lineup, it makes the other team pitch to Bobby.

Bullpen came through today for them big time.

 

I just looked up his SO numbers and based off that you must be correct. I was just thinking back anecdotally I’ve seen him swing at some bad pitches this year but must not be as often as I thought. The difference between him and Salvy batting behind him who swings at everything within a foot of the plate results in a big difference in the pitches Bobby sees.

 

O’s have an active 9-game postseason losing streak

 

Haven’t won a playoff game in 10 years. They will show up tomorrow.

 

Royals are responsible for five of those.
