Only one Yankees-Red Sox matchup? that seems a few below the normal quota

Hopefully no Dodger fans will be insulted by this. But, as a Giant fan, I can't help but love it.

Well, opening day was actually last week, but today is the start for most teams. Somehow, I tend to do well betting baseball even though I barely watch it anymore (the miracle of statistics, lol). This season, I decided I needed more entertainment to fill my summer and made more team total wagers and prop bets than I should. Even though I have 11 different wagers, the bigger money for me will all come down to the White Sox exceeding expectations (which, at least, start very low), the Dodgers going under (come on gambling investigation!) and the Mets just not being god awful. Enjoy the season!

Every year I make a few win total bets. Last season I went 4-2 for a small profit. Last year I was all over the Mets and the Under so I'll take that bet again Under 80.5. Not sure what has changed and they were abysmal last season. I also took Baltimore Over 90.5—not sure why they are so low considering they won 101 in 23. I previously mentioned I really like Seattle at Over 87.5 and my Giants Under 81.5. I'm hoping different for SF but I just don't like their team as it is constructed, although I will admit they didn't really overpay for the free agents they signed (not like the Dodgers, who may find that Yamamoto is a bust and Ohtani will be only slightly better than the average DH). Finally, I'll go back to Colorado and play them to go over 59.5. I lost on them last year, but I think they will be better, especially if Kris Bryant can stay healthy.

10-0 no-hitter win for Ronel Blanco & the Astros!!! Nice bounce back for the Astros after being swept by the Yankees.

Jackson Holliday looks like he's fresh off the school bus, almost like Miguel Cabrera did in 2003 when the Marlins shocked the Cubs and Yankees in the playoffs and World Series.

They couldn't keep Holliday in Triple A because it seems like he had no competition.

    Jackson Holliday demoted.

If it were the olden days, the O's would be like Kansas City with Alex Gordon and just keep him in the big league, but the O's have a ton of talent all around the diamond. It is kind of a surprising turn for the consensus #1 prospect though.

Alex Gordon was a lot more ready when he came up after spending four years in college.

Went to the Orioles/Angels game on Wednesday and no sign of Holliday. Fun game, though Mike Trout tries to hit a Homer with every bat.

That's his usual swing, very different than the majority of the MLB.

A youth baseball coach actually made fun of Trout's swing without knowing it was Trout on Twitter. He got a bunch of replies, including from Trout - who ended up sending the coach a lot of baseball supplies and an autographed bat because the coach was getting flamed on Twitter:

Went to extra innings. Baltimore homered and was looking good. Then the bottom of the 11th happened. Tied again. Onto the 12th, more baseball.

...and it's over. Baltimore wins by 1 run in 12 innings.

EDIT: I was wrong about Bradish. He did well and continued to get a bunch of groundballs. Only 1 flyball. And of course a bunch of Ks.
