I know it reinforces the Wisconsin stereotype, but I got a chuckle out of this post this morning in our community FB group.

Anyone missing a cow? It's loose near Boltenville.

I'm so bored these days, even a little chuckle is good!

Maybe this is why @Richard Alpert has been quiet lately. He’s been out looking for the missing pet. Someone point him in the right direction before the cow makes it to the dinner table!

It is funny to see it posted on Facebook, but I carry boots in my truck in case I have to help push cattle back in that get outside of the fence.

I had one get out and I chased that bastard for miles.

For those of us who grew up / live in rural areas, this is unfortunately a common thing. We try to spoil our cows to the point of them being annoying just in case something like this happens. It makes it a lot easier to "round them up".
Some breeds are a little more "feral" than others, and have a real mind of their own. A few years ago we had one that would just jump over any fence that stood in her way. A great cow, but nobody wants that kind of headache. You'd be amazed at how high a cow can actually jump. You wouldn't think by the way they are built, but I've seen a few of them go over 6 foot fences like a world-class hurdler going for the gold.

Maybe it went to Appleton for a drink ;)

If you hadn't heard, Appleton in #1 for drinking in Wisconsin, though several other burgs could give it a run for their title.

Many moons ago when I was training in the Air Force version of Light Infantry training at Ft. Campbell, we were doing a LRP (Long Range Patrol) rotation and we were deep in the Kentucky/Tennessee hills, miles from any habitation, and there, in a thicket, was a cow. The damn thing was mean and kept making moves like it was going to charge. I was all for shooting it but got talked out of it because I would have to explain the spent round. So, we just made a wide berth around it.

They can be scary beasts. We had a momma not feeding her calf due to some udder issues. We needed her to follow us and the baby needed to be transported. Guess who got the honor of jumping out, grabbing the calf, and jumping back in the side-by-side? That was one pissed off momma! The driver put the vehicle between the cow and I, but she came around fast... Got the cow home, milked her and treated her...all turned out well.

Interesting. I always thought cows are quiet, domestic beasts.

    But they are delicious.

This facility is their only location that is non-smoking. I wonder if that is part of the reason they chose to open this one first. I hate this one as the machines are a different class that are bingo based payback. Don’t really understand how those work but I have never won anything there. I haven’t gone in at least a couple years.

In one of Bill Bryson's recent books, he talks about the high number of cow deaths to hikers in Britain. Seriously.

I believe this is a machine only casino, right? No table games. Maybe that is why they are starting with this one.

I don't remember any table games in there at all - but it has been 3? years since I stepped in the door. Their website says 95% payback on the slots. I call BS on that one lol. I live in BRF so I visit that one with periodic stops at the Dells.

Interesting - masks required. What I find interesting on the last part of this page: https://www.ho-chunkgaming.com/madison/ is where it states: 'Rewards Club program and benefits are suspended until further notice. This includes Rewards Play and all promotions. You may play with your card and redeem points only at your machine'. It doesn't really sound like you are even going to earn points with the 'benefits suspended' part?? Hard to tell with them saying you can redeem points at the machine.

And pardon my OCD tendencies but shouldn't this say 'affected'? - Will my rewards play be effected due to the temporary closure? Affected means to have an impact on, while effected is to cause something to happen. (All of their sites I visited say 'effected').
