    My Trip Report

    Sunday 4/30
We were up early at 5:45 to get everybody ready and on the road. Everything is going ok until we drop the daughter off at the grandparents. My wife slipped in the mud while buckling the car seat into her mothers car. Mud all over her jeans. It seems like it took forever to get that situated. We get on the road, and make a quick stop at McDs. The closer we get to the Muskogee Turnpike, the more I realize that we are running out of time. So, here I am cruising the turnpike trying to keep it under 90. We get to Tulsa, get the bags checked, get through security(I have a prosthetic leg, so this is always an adventure.) I check my phone and get a message that our flight is boarding twenty minutes early. We get to the terminal just in time to board our flight. Flight was bumpy the entire way, it seemed that it took twenty minutes to land. I could not handle it anymore, I told my wife to get me a bag. I was vomiting as we were landing, My first time getting sick on a plane.

The past two trips we have taken a limo to the hotel. I thought we would save money and take a shuttle, not a good idea after being sick on a plane. I did not get stick, but it would not have taken much more. We get to The Mirage. We check in the room is ready. Nothing wrong with that. I love The Mirage. I love the atmosphere, love the smell. It just feels good to me. We get up the the room and "test the bed out." It seemed to work fine. We go back down and start playing a little bit. We are trying to decide where to eat. We have reservations at Samba, but I get the feeling that the wife will not like any food there, We decide to go eat at the buffet. It was still good, but quality seems to have gone down. We go back up to the room and get ready for Love. We went back down to see Love. It was great. We loved all of the new additions. After Love, we went out and caught a Volcano show.
We then went down to play at TI for a little while. TI seemed a lot dirtier than I remember. It reminded me of our local casino before they remodeled it. We went back to play at Mirage for a while before crashing.

We get up and head down to the Bellagio. The plan was to catch their lunch buffet. We play for a little while and stay about even.We went to the buffet around 10:30 and though for sure that they would be changing to lunch soon. We were full by the time that they started changing out. We then played for a little while more. According to MLIFE, we won $1.27 at The B. We left the Bellagio, and walked across the street. My wife wanted to go into Ballys for some reason. She got up about $60 on the Elvira machine she played, but nothing else would pay out.We left there and head North on the strip to get our Tenors of Rock tickets for the night. After we get our tickets, we went over to Casino Royale and played for a while and did pretty good on a Walking Dead machine. We head back over to The Mirage and play for a while over there. We decide to have dinner at LVB Burger. It was decent, but not worth $55 for two burgers, fries, and shakes. It was resort credit though. When we left, there was kinda of MayDay protest going down the strip. We went and played at Harrahs. We could not win a thing there. We then went up to the Tenors of Rock Show. These guys are talented, but it seemed like they screamed the entire time. I am not a fan of the table seating either. We went back over to The Mirage and played for a little while. According to MLIFE, we dropped $450 there over two days.

    Tuesday 5/2
Today we move down to the Cosmo. We checked out of The Mirage and taxi to The Cosmo (cab driver was mad and did not say a word) I guess the ride was too short. Our room was ready. Score! We had a one bedroom fountain terrace reserved. The room was comped and we upgraded for $80 a night. I know we sat our there and took in the view for 30 minutes. We go down and play just a little. I've been wanting to check out the Spice Market Buffet, so we had over there for lunch. It was very underwhelming. No crab legs for lunch? The plan was to play at Planet Hollywood for a while. Whatever they had pumping through the ventilation made my wife need an inhaler. We headed back over to The Cosmo and played there for a while. Tuesday night was the only night that we did not have a show. We decided that we were going to head down to Fremont. We went over and grabbed a Deuce in front of Paris. There was a homeless guy yelling the entire time. We got a top seat on the Deuce. That was kinda of neat to see The Strip from. We get down to Fremont and hop in and out of a few casinos. I will say that there is nothing on Fremont for us. We went down to 800 degrees and had dinner. I love this place. We head back to the Cosmo. We decide we are going to go back to the room and check out the Japanese soaking tub and the bed. They both served their purpose along with a open terrace and the fountains going beneath. The plan was to take a nap and go back down around 1:30 to play. It amazed me, it seemed that The Cosmo was just getting started then. We played for about three hours, not losing too much.

We got up around 10 or so. We decided to head over to La Salsa Cantina for their $4.99 breakfast. I felt that it was a decent value. We went back and played at The Cosmo for a while. Nothing is really doing at The Cosmo this morning. We decide to head down to The Venetian. We go and grad a SDX and are there in no time. The plan is to play there, catch the Wynn buffet, Madame Tussards, and Human Nature. We went to get our tickets for Human Nature, and guess who bought tickets for the week before and not when we were there, that's right. This GUY! Apparently, there was nothing they could do, so we are screwed. The wife really wanted to see it, so we paid for it again! We did pretty decent playing here. I cannot really figure our their players club. I thought The Wynn was further than it was, so we went to Grimaldis pizza instead. It was ok, but I was expecting a lot more from what everybody says about it. It's funny, because we went out a door by Grimaldis and The Wynn was right there. I bought a package from expedia that was cancelled because of a pricing error. Their consolation was free admission to the museum. We snapped a couple of pictures and went through there very fast. We played a little more, then went and saw Human Nature. We both really enjoyed the show. I had no idea these guys were as old as they are, or that they actually use to be a legit boy band. When it first started, it seemed like a SNL skit. They were really good though. Back down to the Cosmo, I had several Crown and Cokes, and a beer. We played into night until we had enough.

    Go home day BOO!
We hung out in the room until almost check out time. We went and checked our luggage at the bell desk,. We went over across the street and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp. The service and patio seating was excellent. The food was nothing special. We had a little time to play before we left and won $100 back on a Wonder Four Machine. We then grabbed our shuttle and all twenty stops (or it seemed). Flight home was not very good again. I kept it in this time though. LOL. We land back in Tulsa, and make the two hour drive back home and grab the daughter and dogs.

    Final thoughts.
I was disappointed by the selection of machines in the casinos. It seemed that every casino had the same machines. It is not practical for two people to play at one time, unless you bring a very large bankroll. I did not mind watching my wife as long as they were bringing me drinks. I will not do another shuttle. I will do a limo or cab at least. You should have tempered expectations when you go to Vegas, because if you do not, you will be disappointed by the moment instead of enjoying it. There are beautiful people everywhere. Drink service was good everywhere that we went. There is a lot of rudeness in Vegas that you have to look over. I love the feeling I have when I am in Vegas. Since, we've been back I've been trying to figure out how to get back to see George Strait in July, Sept, or December. Airfare is ridiculous though. We managed to come home with about 1/4 of what we took.

Nice report! Sucks that you misbooked human nature. I always worry about doing something like that.

Thanks for the report. Really suck on getting sick on the plane and the Human Nature tickets, otherwise, sounds like both of you had fun.
