    $1 to $2000

At the old Desert Inn, last evening of a 4 day trip, I have $1 left, plus money in my billfold to get me to McCarran and out of the parking lot at the home airport. It was real late... midnight or later... I was feeling a little down at my losses over the 4 days... As I started walking to the elevator, I passed the worst bet in Las Vegas... that wheel that has all the numbers on it... like a carny show... I said well I might as well throw this last $1 away too... Plopped it down on the $20 spot... now in those days, I was younger, slimmer, better looking, etc. and the man spinning was grinning at me and let it land on the $20 win... I always suspected they could control the spins. "Now what do you want to play" he asked. Not this game was my reply. I went over to the slot machines called Quarter Mania and put $5.00 in 4 different machines... finally got to $300, cashed out and went to the black jack tables... promptly started winning. When I got $2000 in chips, I asked for my markers back... that was what I was down for the 4 days... tore the marker up and went to bed one very happy girl!!!

several years ago was in town for the ohio state Michigan football game. we got in Thursday night and I proceeded to lose 50% of my bankroll in four hours. I was just about sick. I told my buddy that Friday we were going to have to take it easy so i'd have some cash to bet the game Saturday.

so Friday morning we get up around 6 am (staying at nyny) and went over to mandalay for breakfast at 7. we ate, played some, drank a beer and moved on next door to luxor and did the same thing. we ended up basically walking the strip, playing, drinking, and pissing in every casino. we didn't get to our room until 3 the next morning. I get into my pocket and count my cash and i'm exactly even for the trip. I won 50 here, 100 there all the way up one side and back down the other. Saturday went pretty good, bet the over big on the osu game and it went over by half time.

sunday rolls around and i'm up for the trip. we start playing and I proceed to lose 200 at 4 different tables so going home a winner is just about a goner. my buddy is basically busted and we go into mgm. he just want to sit and watch football but I wanted to play some more so I left him in the sports book. I go play some bj and win 75 but was hating the table as the dealer was a asshole and two young love birds were hanging all over each other at the table. I cash out and am heading to the sports book when I spot third base open at a 3 card table. I was only going to play the 75 I had won and played well over an hour on that. finally I get a hand but don't have the reds to bet it so I cash in a green chip to place the play bet. after the hand, I had nine red chips left and wanted to leave so I played the hand blind with 25 on pp and 10 on the ante and play. the dealer gets to me and turns over the ace, king, queen of diamonds. suddenly i'm up again, cash out and leave a winner.

I once turned my final $20 on 5Dimes into $2,000 playing Baccarat in their live casino.

I got destroyed in a poker session, and thought I was all tapped out until I saw $20 still in my account. 4 hours later, and a couple massive streaks of Banker wins, I had $2k in my account.

I was in Vegas this past weekend and it was quite the rollercoaster ride.

    Friday: Lost 5.5k
    Saturday: Had two winning sessions.
-won 3k in craps (had a buddy who was rolling hot and kept hitting 4's and 10's where luckily i had over $100 on those spots and kept pressing).
    -won 2k in BJ
Sunday: lost a parlay, won niners but lost KC bet still up about $800

So total I was up about $300 after being down $5.5k on Friday.

    THEN the unthinkable happened.

2 hours before my flight, I didnt feel satisfied. I wanted to walk away being up like $2k. So I went to the $50 minimum tables and lost $2k in about 15 minutes. It was the fastest $2k I lost in BJ since I can remember. I walked over to the salon(high limit at the palazzo). Took out my entire bankroll of $10k (brought $12k to vegas). Told myself I wasnt even gonna touch the entire bankroll but here I am on tilt. It was my first time playing in this salon area but I wanted to play by myself and walked over to the $200 minimum BJ tables. There was a pitboss, his assistant?, and the dealer staring at me like I didnt belong. Its ok. Whatevers. I took out the $10k and of course they make me write down my Social for some BS IRS crap. Whatevers. I get several purple chips and mostly black chips. Every single bet I made, the freaking assistant would write something down in her clipboard. It was the weirdest thing. Ive never had anyone track my bets before. Every bet, she would write something down. I wasnt sure if she was writing down my bets or if I was winning/losing. I didnt care though. I lost quick though. I lost about $8500 and pretty much wrote this trip off as a waste. Then the unthinkable happened. I went all in with $1500 (3 purples), won. Then bet $1500 again, 11 vs a 10 (dealer), I thought about it for some time, doubled, hit 21, got back to $6000. No more $200 bets, I was on a mission to make my money back and ride this streak. I got back to back bJ with 2 $1000 bets and won a split. Once I reached $11800, I stopped. Too many times I lost my entire bankroll again chasing the small losses. So I got up, said thank you, no tip, and left the table.

Final result: Down $200 but left like a million bucks. That was my miracle comeback

Not a High Roller like some of you :p but had a good recovery last weekend.

Brought $1800 to spend on gambling over 5 days, was up about 100 after 2 days, then lost $700ish on the third. Fourth day, had $20 in freeplay at Planet Hollywood, 2nd spin on a monopoly slot, won $150. Later that night, playing $2 a spin wheel of fortune at Trop, put $40 in, was down to $25 when I hit the wheel, spun $20, figured I was up $5, might as well quit, but then put the voucher back in, a few spins later, got the wheel again, won $250, which put me only down about $200 for the trip.

Final day, was down about $650 for the trip when I hit a $550 win on the lord of the rings slot at Aria. Put me $100 down for the trip. Spent another $100 of my cash on souvenirs and food, $200 down for the trip total, which means I already have a $1600 bankroll for my next trip in April, and I'm sure that will only grow from here.

A number of years ago, I was in Lake Tahoe for a week of skiing and gambling. I was down 12K the morning we were to leave, and wasn't too happy about that.

I woke up early that morning, and went down to play some $1 3-play DDB VP. I think I got $500 more to play with. Within 2 hours, I had hit 2x Aces/kicker same draw, and 2 separate royals. When I got the 12K back, I was done. It felt like a win.

I had just enough time to pack and leave to catch the flight.

I've had a bunch of really good chasing stories the past couple years, but 2 stand out:

#1 March 2010 trip. Lost a bunch, hit ATM on Sunday AM before flight out for $1,000 to make 5 $200 Masters bets. Went to Lagasse to place bet on Dustin Johnson and the dude advised me Wynn had better odds and convinced me to go check their sheet and bet my 5 guys across both places depending on who had better odds.

I started walking to Wynn and was kinda hungover and tripped over the light up roulette table in Palazzo....for one spin....resulting in this....

#2 July 2001. Local casino (Grand Victoria Elgin). Biggest comeback ever for me. Down to final $15 on roulette. Bet on #17. It hit, and kept hitting my numbers, after 7 spins I had this.....
