    My Trip Report

    Hey Gang...

Just talked to one of my Phoenix buddies (referred to in past trip reports at 'Eddie W'), and he told me that he booked our rooms at the Monte Carlo for the end of July. (24th-27th, Thursday thru Sunday)

He got two rooms for the 4 of us, at a rate of about $120 a night per room. I figure $60 a night per person is a great deal on the strip at a decent property. I know we had talked about staying at the Barbary Coast, but we kinda wanted to do something new, and have access to a pool in case the Gambling Gods frowned upon us.

Now I just have to find some decent airfare out of Nashville...

    Man, I'm excited now.

    Mikey

    Hey Bazootch...

I found $174 on American, but--how pathetic is this--I can't afford it for about 3 more weeks. [IMG]

I'm willing to pay up to $250, but I'd rather fly American Airlines, if possible.

You WANT to fly American? They have fairly low rates out of RDU right now, but hubby and I are avoiding them......Just in case ;)

Southwest has such abominable schedules for Vegas for us. Boo, hiss! Not to mention their 2 lowest fares are sold out for that July weekend, making it at least $300....No thanks!

AirTran rates came back down a little, Delta still WAY up there ($310) Just not sure how long to wait.....

Just heard a story on the radio about an airline out of Detroit that is offering a flight to Vegas, which includes strippers, flight attendants in bikini's, and plenty of alchohol. I believe the cost was $2k round trip. Of course, the really hard part is explaining to your significant other why your flight plans flow through Detroit!! hahahahaa

I keep waiting for the bullet train from LA to get built....just seems like free money waiting to be taken...can you imagine the "over 21 only" cars? What a great way to get to Vegas....I know they'll do it someday, I just hope it's soon.

I found the same deal, Mikey. Wifey is suggesting a rather large side trip to phoenix and Anaheim to see a couple of ball games. Could be a bunch of fun...
