    My Trip Report

I stayed at the MGM Tuesday 4/1 and returned home on Saturday.

Flight--Round Trip non-stop from Philadelphia via US Airways-Both flights uneventful-flight out was almost two hours longer--I never remember this being the case before, I guess we had a really strong head wind. Also there was noticeably more leg room on the way out, which was nice!

Hotel--Checked in at the MGM-tried the $20 trick however was told they had no uprgrades available, I did get a view of the strip facing south. I requested a king bed however got two queens, not the end of the world!

    Restaurants-
Craftsteak--All I can say is wow!! I am a huge fan of upscale steakhouses and this was the best meal I have ever had at one. I had the 12oz filet $52 a caesar salad and sauteed spinach. Also had a couple of vodka martinis, two glasses of red zinfandel.. Bill was about $190 with tip for one. I will be back there again!!

Emerils---Overated!! had a salad with Boston Lettuce, fried rock shrimp, applewood smoked bacon. Salad was much better than the crab cake apetizer. I must admit I am from Maryland so I ahve pretty high standards when it comes to crab cakes, however I have had better at a chinese buffett! I used to be a big fan, I will not be returning..

MGM breakfast buffet--decent food, nothing great, it was qucik and I was starving.

Wynn lunch buffett-I will admit I was a little bit dissapointed, I was expecting more. It was free thanks to this board and I earned enough points for another one. The points came very qucik playing some bullshit video blackjack game where you could only double on 10 or 11 and no splitting, somehow I earned like 200 points and only lost $25..

Planet Hollywood breakfast buffet- Standard fare, MGM was just as good if not a little bit better.

Fatburger- It was late and I will admit I was a little intoxicated. I was not impressed...One dollar for cheese on a burger at a hamburger stand, come on, be serious....

Gambling--One of my nest trips ever- I went with a $1000 in my pocket and came home with $750, and that is inclusive os spending money like it was water. Had a great roll on the craps table first night, bought in at $200 and about an hour later cashed out at $1220. My biggest gripe with the MGM is that I uusally play $15 blackjack, and I would guesss I average around 3-4 hours per day, but they won't even rate you unless you are playing $15. I will not stay there again because of this. I got rated at the Wynn playing $15, so I once I realized this I made the walk every day to the Wynn to play there during the day.

Now for the big night (Friday) I am a swm 35 travled alone, just to get away. I sat down at a $25 BJ table at the MGM around 8:30PM becuase there was a cute young lady playing all by her lonesome. Started off really bad and I was trying to keep her spirits up and told her things would trun around which they did. We each cashed out around 10:30, i was up around $600 and she was up around $500.. She said she had to go and get ready and said that her and a group of her friends were going to Trist at the Wynn and asked me to come along, of course I was wondering how are we going to get in, she said they were on the list and had a table reserved, who am I to say no to that. She calls me about an hour later and she is ready and tells me to meet her by the elevators. She was looking so hot and so were her friends. We walked right in to the club, past about 200 people waiting in line, was escorted to their table where there were 6 other girls there with 2 bottles of grey goose and all the mixers. What a place, I must admit I felt young again, had a great time! We hung out there until about 3:30Am and then back to the MGM. You know the rest, "What happens in Vegas.........." One shocking thing of the night was the price they charge for a bottle of grey goose $520 each. and apparantleyt the table was another $700..All in all I think between the 7 of us we spent over $2000. Although it didn't phase me to throw in $500. I can honestly say that it was one of the best nights of my life!!!!

I cannot wait to get back! I don't beleive I will stay at the MGM again though, I didn't like the location and the fact that they won't rate you at all unless you play $25 really burns my ass!!

Also everyone that I told that I was going to Vegas by myself really seemed to question it. There was not one point when I questioned why I went by myself, it as fantastic and won't ahve any problem doing it again!!

Nice scores. The best thing about Vegas is if you don't like where you're playing or how they rate you move to the next casino.
