For curious sake, I’d like an idea of the kind of MGM free play people are getting. I’m ignoring Caesars Rewards to keep things consistent. This poll is NOT MyVegas free play. This is only the for the free play offer we get while reserving a hotel room on the MGM website or through your host.

I’m a BJ player who will dabble in VP. I have never received free play or free bet or promo chips from MGM properties, despite having had a host at one of their casinos.

I have received promo chips as part of offers at Sahara and Wynncore, though.

I have a mid-week "extra" offer right now that bumps me up a category. I'm assuming I should include this/that this should be the Max freeplay being offered?

I answered the poll, but not sure what information that will provide to us???

Some people will answer. Some will not.

For what it is worth, I usually get $ 350-$450 in FP from MGM most of the time. Rarely get above $200 at CET.

Probably nothing useful. Curious what kind of ballers VMBers are.

I typically get $40. It took me five trips this year to get gold.

Prior to covid, my FP was usually right around 1% of the previous trip's coin-in, rounded down to the nearest $25.

They seem to dice it in smaller increments and fiddle around more with the amounts from month to month these days. It's been meaningfully less than 1% the past year.

Interesting! My coin-in last trip in May was $16k and my June offer went up to $160 in FP.

    I truly am a high-roller!

Right now it's $325 (down by $25) at all properties but the resort credit varies from $200 at Aria and Bellagio to $450 at the lower end properties.

Interesting. Is it possible that MGM uses ATT (Average Trip Theo) for offers then? It would line up with my drive by last year to see what kind of offers I'd get. I put in just under $10k coin in and my FP offers went to $75, which was underwhelming to me. CET I believe uses ADT. If MGM uses ATT then it might be better for long trippers.

Also, you have too many posts for me to weed through, but I think I remember you play higher denom slots that may have lower theos then pennies. Is it possible with the change in the system that they used to use coin in regardless of what type of slot, and now they are using theo which would lower your offers?

There are a few posts from members with insanely high offers for MGM that don't seem to match the coin in theory, but well some of those are unbelievable to me.

While some members seem to say MGM has better 'offers' if its trip coin in based then while CET offers are much worse I get better than my offers due to my host and a bit over 1% coin in. Things will be interesting to see how it works out for me personally. I'm pondering giving MGM some play in Vegas if Borgata works out for me in AC. Seems my Feb play there just started to generate comp rooms and better offers, took em like 3 months to adjust though.

For another data point, I haven't stayed at an MGM property in at least three years, will occasionally drop in for a small amount of play (think $1500-2500 coin-in, mostly VP, over the course of an hour or two) at Bellagio or Mirage, and generally get offers for $25 FP/$50 RC from their top properties and $50 FP/$100 RC at Luxor/Excalibur.

All of the things you mention are possible, I don't know.

One thing I have seen in the last few months is people's throw-ins having a lot of volatility with no intervening trip to explain it (and I'm taking lag time into consideration). Some go up dramatically, some go down dramatically, and some don't change much or at all. There's no single obvious explanation that fits all the examples.

So, based on this highly scientific poll, 25% of VMB nerds get $50 or less free play while 25% gets $500 or more, and half are in-between.
(If you are in the top 25%, maybe you should stop writing on your posts, "I'm a micro-roller.. bla bla bla").
For the rest of the non-VMB world, I suspect that basically everyone gets $50 or less and a tiny minority gets above $500.

    Zero.

So far I've only gotten $100-$150 resort credit and "free" rooms (still have to pay taxes and resort fees).
