What do regional mgm offers look like (FP/rc) and when do they update to reflect recent play?

I took a trip to Borgota which I really enjoyed and am looking for an offer on. I did a good amount of play- about 3,000 tier points in two week nights.

I see I instantly had free rooms again but it seemed too quick to reflect from my trip.

Is there a time frame until you are recalculated at regionals? Do they do free play/resort credit like Vegas comps?

Interested in this one because it’s more doable in life right now than Vegas because the travel is only 5 hours vs. flights.

The marketing analytics machine is working more frequently now to review player's play level to offer these reward level. MGM definitely spends money on technology update on these things in recent years?

It is a good thing.

Borgata does also do free play and resort credit. I don't know their formula for theo and the relationship between your play level and that kid of comp level though. There are other post doing so.

MGM regional are the opposite of LV when it comes to FP.
First they almost never require a hotel stay.
My experience with FP
Borgata - once a week Fri-Wed, Thur is a gap day. I did 8-9K on a 3 night junket and my offer is $170 FP and $85 in rewards points twice a month.
Beau Rivage - twice a month
MGM Detroit - up to 4 times a week
MGM Northfield - twice a week.

Borgata comp rooms are not tied to an offer and update within a day of play. As for the rest, as noted FP and RP offers are not tied to a stay. You will get a rewards point offer that is broken into 2 parts 1st through 15th of month and 16th to end of month. FP will vary from person to person in frequency. Some get 1 per week, others 2 or 3 per week. There will be a kiosk game sometimes midweek also. I'd say 3k tier over 2 days won't get you that much but the rooms should be comp midweek for sure and weekends maybe if you book way in advance.

Guessing around $25 FP once a week and 2000 Reward Points 2x a month at least. Might be higher since AC is in a bit of a slump and going into off season.

Something I've noticed with Detroit is my offers will drop quite quickly if I don't visit. I was there a few months ago and my offers have dropped twice already since. I don't live nearby so I typically only go a few times a year max if I'm passing through Detroit. After a while of not going I'll get some blown up offer to come back. Last time it was $1000FP and $200 RCs twice a month so I just went and stayed the night and snagged both sets of offers. I even got the same offer the next month telling me to come back even though I was just there a week prior. Didn't get a chance to take advantage again but that stopped and my offers went back to normal the month after.

So it depends on the offer cycle timing. Their timing is odd depending on the month in question (sometimes they load 2 months in advance and sometimes just 1). Has anyone ever had any regional MGM location match your LV offer? I don't get any free play at any regional location but i get $3K free play at LV. Also does anyone know if ur play at regional locations affect your LV offers?

Thank you! Very helpful- I think I will just have to wait and see. (Anticipation kills me). I am hopeful I will have comp rooms requiring resort fees again. I was rather thrilled with my time in AC and am looking to get my wife hooked on going there instead of the local tribals which seem terrible for comps/play.

Dunno what the local tribals give for offers but Borgata can be stingy with freeplay but they do give reward points also. If trip is timed to cover the 15th and 16th you can double dip the reward point offers. That plus generous reward point earning rate is enough for the lounge and/or buffet.

Locals give about $30 weekly on week days only, no rooms, $15 food credit 2x a month. That’s for 2-3k coin in per day in around 2-3 hours. Lately just get smoked at the locals I stopped playing there. I had 3 sessions of 500-1000 losses in 1 hour or less at $1-5 bets.

Since borgata is the topic here, want to ask a question if anyone knows the answer. They are giving me free mgm reward points for sep… 9/1 -9/15 and then 9/16 - 9/30. My question is - if i dont use it all for the first period (say they gave me 20k points then i only used 15k for the first 15 days) then the remaining 5k expires after 9/15? How do i even track it separately from the overall mgm rewards points that i have if it expires?

You swipe on kiosk and it gets added to your card as normal reward points. So no need to use it at all.

Yes noticed this in Springfield Mass. too....the offers can change pretty sharply based on play.

As a local who's at MGM Detroit 4-5 times a month (~150k coin in this year there) I get $45 in Freeplay every Monday-Wednesday, Thursday, then again Friday-Sunday. Makes absolutely zero sense to me. Add a host who's wildly unresponsive and it's disappointing.

RE: Borgata, never been there nor have I done anything except look at their 'Offers' page -- randomly got have $650 in FP over there now. Been on my Rewards account since ~July.

EDIT: Sorry... I just looked again, I apparently have an extra $15 Freeplay on Fridays, bringing my total FP to $60! (only on Fridays!!)

MGM Vegas hates me and my offers are horrible compared to my play there but my Borgata offers are quite good and reward point earning rate at Borgata is like 3x that of Vegas. So I'd say its unlikely that Vegas impacts your Borgata offers.

I saw beau rivage is doing an upto 25x slot dollar multiplier! That’s insane. Does anyone have experience what the normal multiplier is during these events? 2x or 3x isn’t worth it but if it’s 7x and above, definitely peaks my interests

I just came back from beau. I actually like the place and may go back. I talked to a host and they said noir can currently get $1500 bi-weekly but they are looking to increase that to $2500 bi weekly. Does anyone have any experience with Beau rivage? Do u need to have two separate stays to get both free play or can u book (do u even need to book?) where the dates overlap btwn the two free play dates and u can claim both on one trip.


Also do u need to generate a lot of coin in to get the $1500 bi-weekly and maintain FP offer as a noir status at Beau?

I can't answer your question about coin-in- that's nosebleed level for me. But as for the freeplay, the goal is to book a stay straddling that month's fp. You do not need 2 separate trips. The dates vary a bit from month to month but generally first and last half of the month. For example, my October dates are 1-13 and 14-31.
