hey guys I was comparing mgm owned hotel offers thru mlife and I was wondering where does MGM owned hotel rank? How do you rank them? Meaning top hotel to bottom one? (Vegas only)
I'm thinking
1. Aria
2. Bellagio
3. This is where I get confused -
Mirage? Mandala Bay? MGM? Too me they are ranking about same but some of my friends saying MGM grand is much higher than mirage and MB
I do like MB a lot however it's so far down from "strip" just don't like the distance from middle of strip.
And since Monte carlos suppose redo their hotel it might change things. Also heard Luxor is redoing their rooms as wel.
Monte carlos?
NYNY?
Excalibur?
Luxor?

How would you guys rank them? Would you do it by their casino or more based on hotel?

Varied opinions, but I would say

A) Bellagio and Aria
B) Mirage, MGM and M-Bay
C) NY/NY
D) Luxor/Excal

I am sure there is a much more serious ranking within Mlife.

Delano would be right below Bellagio and Aria. Then mandalay, mirage, and MGM in some close order.

You also technically have SkyLofts and Sky Suites at MGM and Aria which are considered separate five diamond hotels.

For me
1)Bellagio (iconic and probably the biggest draw internationally for Mlife, though I personally prefer Aria)
2) Aria
3) Delano
4) Mirage (standard rooms are nicer at MB. But, upper rooms seem nicer to me at Mirage, which bumped it to 4 for me)
5) MB
6) MGM (standard bathrooms, or even average suite bathrooms don't seem as nice as MB, and a pretty bathroom is a deal maker or breaker for me)
7) NYNY
8) Monte Carlo
9) Luxor
10) Excal

But this list doesn't mean best to worst. The beauty of Vegas is, each hotel will have more or less charm for each individual person. It's just like someone might rank tirimasu higher than peach cobbler, but it doesn't mean everyone enjoys it more :D

Not to mention the Mirage Villas, which are in a class of its own (an actual backyard w/ private pool, putting green, butler service, etc.)

Pretty much agree with this with a few exceptions:

1) Bellagio - I love Aria as well but it doesn't really compare to the grandeur of Bellagio
2) Aria
3) Delano
4) MGM - standard rooms are a little dark for my taste but their suites are nice
5) Manday Bay - nicer standard rooms
6) Mirage - lowered b/c they don't do room service anymore, only deliver food packed to-go
7) Monte Carlo
8) Luxor
9) NYNY/Excal

I never stayed at MB before but we were there summer for MJ One show and realized how nice hotel was..
I think Mirage hotel is bit dated stayed over the summer 2 bedroom penthouse but AC was was kinda loud lower ceiling on casino thus smoky etc... and yes no room service just delivering food only. If MB was located more central location it will probably take over 3 or 4 sport easily.

This seems to be the general consensus. There will always be debate within the tiers, particularly the top two, based on personal preference.

Monte Carlo would be listed in the C group, but the Park MGM will be positioned at least in the B group, possibly as high as 3rd overall.

Um Park MGM (MC) when is it suppose to "reopen" as Park MGM, does anyone know? It's currently open and operates as MC right? I know they are working on renovating big time but building itself is dated so how end project would look??

Yes it will remain open as MC until the renovation is complete, at which point it will be rebranded as Park MGM. Target date is by the end of 2018.

Don't know what the finished product will look like, but with the nearly half a billion dollars they are spending, I think it's safe to say that there will be some significant changes.

Will NoMad(currently hotel32) be considered park or separate? No love for CircusCircus LOL. Not mlife but part of MGM. Deserves at least a minus 1 star

Separate from my understanding, basically the same as Hotel32 currently.

Based on the corporate offers I get from MLife, I think the ranking goes like this:

1.) Bellagio
2.) Aria
3.) MGM/Mirage/MB
4.) NYNY/Monte Carlo
5.) Luxor/Excalibur

Bellagio is always the most expensive. Then Aria slightly below Bellagio in terms of price. And I always get the same generic corporate offer for MGM/Mirage/MB, a slightly more generous offer for NYNY/MC, and a way more generous offer for Luxor/Excal.

As stated, in terms of tiers, it's already laid out by corporate offers:

Tier 1: Bellagio Aria
Tier 2: MGM, MB, Mirage
Tier 3: NYNY and MC (for now)
Tier 4: Luxor Excal

You can actually probably argue that there are actually 5 tiers with Luxor at 4 and Excal at 5. Debating the order within a tier gets harder and there are really too many variables: What level of room? Do you take into account the pool, casino, spa, shopping, etc? Location? Restaurants? It gets pretty cloudy.

It gets confused based on what kind of room you're talking about (standard vs. suite, etc.) but my personal ranking (where I would choose to stay, standard room) would be:
Aria
Vdara
Delano
Bellagio
Signature
Mandalay
Mirage
NYNY
MGM
MC
Lux
Ex
Staying in a rat pee soaked trailer on Charleston Blvd.
Circus Circus

I put the MGM places in tiers:

Tier 1 - Aria, Bellagio
Tier 2 - Mandalay Bay, MGM, Mirage
Tier 3 - NYNY, MC
Tier 4 - Luxor, Excalibur

I usually stay at Mirage or MC as that's where I get the best offers.

I agree with @RunningRam on the tiers.

But as far as my favorite MGM properties to stay:
1) Mirage
2) Bellagio
3) Aria
4) Delano (have never stayed at MB, just theHotel and Delano)
Have not stayed at any of the other properties

I base it on both casino and hotel - and where I win the most which for me is Mirage and best offers as well - my Mirage host will match any offer I get at other mlife properties.
