@ColoVegPlayer - how’s the gambling at Red Rock? All I ever hear is that they cater to locals and that it’s nice. I never hear anyone on VMB say that they win there or anyone call it their lucky casino. I want to try it but I’m not all that adventurous and if the gambling sucks…I’ll probably skip it.

Great VP, good odds on most table games.

The dealer did ask the pit boss (I was tipping every hand) if I could get a comp to the steakhouse, and the pit boss came back with a firm no. So YMMV.

I've heard the same thing, they cater to locals. I'd love to try and get a comped room (even at Sunset Station) but everything I've heard is they really like locals, don't care for tourist dollars.

Had dinner at T Bones steakhouse. AMAZING steak. Really competitive pricing as well, slightly cheaper than on strip. Total bill for 3 of us was around $300 (with their 20% off discount, I thought it was 50% as previously stated. I received a message from my friend after she read that clarifying it's 20. Sorry boo!) But a lot of that was from the alcohol they ordered.

Anyway I got the filet, she got chicken, and he got crab legs. Also ordered were some giant shrimp cocktail, fries, and creme brulee and the popcorn fudge sundae.

They recently redid their menu, they have a TON of different steaks now to pick from. A steak lovers paradise, really.

After dinner I was chauffered to the airport by my friend. Got through security asap, no line. Thanks pre check.

Currently sitting in the gate, boarding in 20ish minutes. Then I land around 11:30PM, take the shuttle to the off airport parking, and hopefully get home around 1AM! Then go to work in 5 hours.

Oh, and I couldn't propose because they work there and didn't want to cause a scene, I guess...

But I gave him a ring, mostly to make my friend jealous. She's gotten 4 now, time to spread the love around.

If any VMBers want me to propose to them, let me know. We'll try and snag free dessert out of it.

Ack! But work from home, though, right? As a software engineer I hope your employer gives you that option. A very valuable and underrated perk that's especially useful right after a vacation.

Haha. No, not really. They've made the decision to get rid of that after COVID ended.

There is a little bit of flexibility on that, but not much.

Looking at my calendar, I realize I return to Vegas in exactly 4 weeks! Landing back on June 29th for a 4th of July weekend with the family.

Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Yes, hopefully you get an easy day after landing. I can no longer do work after landing in the AM.

However, one year while waiting for the plane, I over heard a conversation in which someone was calling in "sick" while waiting for the flight. I just heard him say no that is not slot machines in the back ground. Many were laughing while that call took place.

Unfortunately everyone in the office knows I was in Vegas, because my coworker who came with told them.

Not that I care that people know, but I think we all know that people are more "accepting" of taking time off for places like Disney or Hawaii, vs Vegas. People will just assume I'm hungover even though I don't drink!

People at my work place know I love to go to Vegas, and they always give me the, I don't like to blow my money away, but, I've been to London, Florida many times, Costa Rica, cruises, California, and guess what, they all cost money! Nothing compares to Vegas, glad you had a good trip!!!

I get a decent amount of free rooms and free play from them, but never stayed there. Only done day drop ins. I've lost my ass every time I've stepped foot in their casino.

When I was there, $15 (moved up to $25 as I was playing) and the rest were at $50.

It's such a short plane ride, and I get every Friday off. Of course it was a lot cheaper DURING covid, not so much now. And work + school = zero free time.

COVID is over in Colorado, essentially. And COVID has "been over" for the customer I work for since like, March....

Anyway, thanks! I'm sure I won't, but positive thoughts!

In reality, I'd much rather just bring a girl I'm dating to Vegas for a trip, instead of meeting a rando.
