Zoey is adorable, congratulations on the new family member. Based on what you've said, she will be much better off with you.

I always love pictures of dogs (and cats). Do we have a thread to show off all our furry friends?

I hear ya LV, our big handsome Buster is 10 now and enjoys a good nap after we've been out for a long walk but baby Jaxon is go, go, go and is my velcro dog. He's been top of the class in all his training but like Zoey, very strong willed so not always reliable on commands at home, especially "come" but he's getting better. He is a super cuddle buddy, very smart and affectionate. Can open his crate and open the baby gates now. He's a brat at times, tires me out but I sure do love the little imp. Will post an updated photo from Tapatalk.

My mom's maltese. This was taken about 4 years ago and right after she got a haircut so she looks "cute". The dog is now 13 so looks a lot older.

My mom moved into a care home so my sister took in the dog but doesn't groom the dog regularly so the dog has longer hair. We are laughing nowadays, there is a amazon prime commercial with a similar looking dog. Our dog acts just like the one in the commercial, looks around like she is lost then if she is unhappy she makes a little face to show her displeasure and makes more of a friendly face when she is happy.

    Megan.

Funny because even when they are old if you cut the maltese's hair they still look "cute".

we put bells on her collar so we can hear whenever she comes around and also so we don't accidently step on her (she likes to hide all over).

No problem post all you want, Maltese are great dogs. A neighbor's mom stayed with them for a while, and had one that played with our last dog, she was rougher than my big golden. lol

Beware Packer, their hair grows quite quickly and they start looking "scruffy" if you don't groom them regularly. My mother was going to the groomers every 4 to 6 weeks. Also watch out as the dog can get eye irritation because their hair falls over their eyes, best to keep them trimmed so no irritation.

Thank you makikiboy. Yes we take him every 6 weeks give or take. Would take him more but they say it isn't good for their skin. He has already had double ear infections. Poor little guy. That was a couple months ago and all good now. I well keep my eyes on his eyes. Really smart dog. Never once has he had a mistake and since he goes between houses I must say he's perfect. Loves to play fetch. One thing, he has a ravenous appetite he would eat anything and everything if we let him. We don't and we are careful.
