I think so too. Meatloaf is such a filling dish, so I usually bypass it or I won't be able to try other dishes. The ones I saw were dry looking under the heat lamp.

I agree it's best to make this at home. Meatloaf at a buffet is hard to keep it from drying out.

I don't have anything against, say a diner putting out a meat loaf, but our American eating heritage really insists that meat loaf be a home-grown product.
Certain others items, such as tuna and noodles, chicken and dumplings, american chop suey, 7-layer salad, ham balls, spanish rice, butterscotch pudding, rhubarb crisp, anything ala king, green bean casserole, etc., also fit that bill.
Need to eat them at home to fully appreciate their charm.

My mother never made meatloaf. She didn't make anything she didn't like, no squash, no sweet potatoes, no cabbage, no meatloaf, other regular stuff at other people's houses that I don't remember right now. Anyway, meatloaf was a treat for me.

I haven't eaten it in Vegas but I don't knock anybody who eats it in Vegas. I think if I saw it at a buffet and it looked good, I would have a small piece of it.

    So0000....PALMS has the meatloaf! Thanks!

I did not grow up with meatloaf.

I truly tasted meatloaf for the first time at Wynn buffet last December. It's a dinner staple there and the meat was great. But I expect that from Wynn.

But ever since, I have eaten meatloaf in a couple restaurants. Though it wasn't as amazing, it still tasted great!

Joe, you beat me to the punch line!

Sco: Funny, but I was searching for that out of curiosity.
I think I would suggest you call the various buffets and ask them.

I did find two that had it on the buffet. I'm sure there are many others.
The first one was at the Riveria with a review on Yelp. The comments were 4 stars to no stars if they could put no stars.
So, err on the side of caution or you may errrp unintentionally...

Seems like it may have been a holiday or seasonal thing at some buffets (Thanksgiving), however at the R it may be a regular item.

The other place I had a photo of, I just have to find it to post.

I just remembered this, but it's not a buffet. A few months ago we (3 of us) all had meat loaf and eggs for early breakfast at Blueberry Hill. I know it sounds strange, but it was very good and the portion was huge!

Indeed. My mom used to make it with Budding dried beef and serve it on bread that was toasted in the oven.

You can put just about anything into a meatloaf.
I had a ml once that I put salsa in, deliciosa:licklips:

I was reading the Hash House A Go Go was awesome, although 15 minutes out at the 'M' Resort. Story link: http://foodlustandwanderlust.wordpress.com/2013/01/15/vegas-monster-meatloaf-sandwich/

Keep in mind I have not been to V since the Wynn was built.

There was one more buffet I found that had Meatloaf that looked intriguing.
When I find where I put that info...I'll post it.

Sco... Maybe its just me ( and this is gonna sound weird and I AM NOT trying to be rude) but with all the food at a buffy that appeals to me..meatloaf wouldn't be my first choice.....I might be more inclined to do a meatloaf at a coffee shop or a traditional restaurant...

I'm with you. I can't think of any dish featuring ground beef I would seek out on a buffet. Not even spaghetti with meat sauce. Direct me to the Prime Rib please! But seriously, I think a traditional coffee shop or family restaurant would be a better place to have meatloaf but I don't think it would be on many Vegas menus. Comfort food like mom used to make won't play as well with tourists, especially if there is not a universal way to make it. My mom served hers with brown gravy and I would never order meatloaf in a restaurant out of fear it would be covered in ketchup or red sauce.
