McCarran Terminal 3 To Open June 27

For all of our International members, some thing to look forward to.

I also found some info over on Wikipedia.

 

I land the week before that opens then and Terminal 2 will be closed by the time I come home.

I'm not the most mobile so I won't be doing too much at the airport anyway, the smaller terminal 3 is the better

 

This could be really bad news for me.

Leaving through Terminal 2 is so incredibly easy its ridiculous. I've never taken more than 5 minutes to get through security there.

I get the feeling that to get to Terminal 3 I'm going to have to clear security in Terminal 1 and haul ass all the way to Concourse D, and then another people mover to Terminal 3.

Not happy.

 

Okay, reading up on this, it looks like Terminal 3 is self contained with its own security and baggage systems.

Still gonna miss the old-skool terminal though.
