    Trips to Las Vegas:

    My Trip Report

So I made it out to Vegas for about 9 days the first part of May, I was so excited and so ready to be there that I didn’t get to do a trip report, but I will just quickly summarize the trip.

I stayed at 3 different properties this trip because I wanted to try something new and I ended up really enjoying it!

    Hotels: all rooms comped
    Caesars- Augustus strip view
Palazzo- high roller view - favorite room !
    Aria - basic room

Lago - favorite, both hubby and I did the pre-fix menu, it was bomb !
Andiamo’s - food was good but nothing to write home about - but this was free since the “D” had given me a $210 food comp.
Border Grill - would highly recommend for brunch it was awesome but we went for dinner as well and didn’t enjoy as much.
MAG - must do every trip!
Segundo Sol - love this place for their happy hour - $5 margaritas and $3 dollar tacos - must sit at bar

Uber - first half of trip- mostly 15-20 minute waits and drivers were driving pretty fast which made me a little uncomfortable, waited about 30 minutes for Uber at airport and had a few cancel the trips.
Rental- 2nd half of trip- no wait since I have priority with Avis- but the lines at every rental agency were huge! Car rental was pretty expensive but worth it.

    Play: Slots !!
So not only did I get my first handpay in Vegas …. I got 7 :) I was on fire this trip I could not believe it. I got 3 handpays at Palazzo , 2 at Venetian and 2 at the D while waiting for dinner! I could not hit anything at Caesars or Aria … Boo! But I played, drank, and ate as much as my heart desired and I was a very happy girl!!

Caesars covered my 3 days stay plus about $150 in food charges and $150 free play, no resort fee’s due to being Diamond.
Venetian- no resort fees and covered $20 dollars that I charged to the room, this was a big mistake on my part since she told me next time charge everything to room she said she could have comped more…. BOo
Aria- had to pay resort fees - no back end comps - I actually didn’t play much the last day because I got murdered the first two nights of my stay.

Now for my question, I am planning to be in Vegas 9/15-9/19 and I was looking at comps and having a hard time deciding what to do. Looking at comps below which one would you guys pick ??

Caesars again will comp my 4 nights plus $300 dining credit - love property but think it may be time to let CET go but nervous at the same time, have been loyal for a long time. Enjoy how I feel like royalty.. lol checking in at Diamond area, skipping lines and checking out late! Plus no resort fees

Venetian will comp 4 nights but that is it, I did make it to Grazie Elite last trip and have like 300 dollars that I earned. Still need to read up on rewards program

Mlife will comp 4 nights at any property but here is where I am confused- free play and resort credit is depending on what property I choose. Lower properties comp $400 resort credit and $400 free play but Aria will only do $150/300 - and highest room comp is in the Aria tower. Why is this?

Anyways thanks for reading and I will say even in early May, strip was very busy and by the time I left the whole mask thing was only being enforced inside Casino. I will leave some pics of trip below

    Trips to Las Vegas:
Thanks for sharing your trip report. I’m so ready to go back in August. I was there end of April to early May. Still waiting on my first Vegas hand pay.

For your upcoming trip, why don’t you stay 2 nights in a nice Bellagio or Mirage room. You can spend the other 2 nights across the street at Venetian. It doesn’t sound like Aria is good to you. I would try somewhere different.

    Trips to Las Vegas:
#1 - Keep track of those handpays - you will need to report them as income on your taxes

#2 - They almost never can comp something that you already paid for.

#3 - Why? Simple. They are tight on higher end (luxury) properties. That is why we are staying at Luxor next trip vs Aria. Aria is offering a room. Luxor is giving us a 2 Br Suite and a bit more FP/resort credit.

    Re: M-life comps
I get different offers like room vs suite, FP, and resort credit from each property - least at high end properties and most at lower end ones. My host at Aria usually throws in additional resort credit and always a limo to and from airport. I’m seriously thinking of staying at Park MGM next time as I get quite a difference in suites, F & B and free play.
You sound like you had a great time, especially the handpays! Congratulations!!!
