May Adventures! A Live Report with a Meh Title

There is NOTHING more frustrating than heading down the escalator and not seeing your name on an iPad (I'm serious here). F'ing around at the airport when you land is hands down the most frustrating thing possible (like I'm pissed when people I go with check a bag). Reservation and no driver has happened to me twice, I just went the cab route. One time, the driver called asking where I am, I'm like "bro, I'm already on the gaming floor".

We all work hard, wait, plan and have 3 to 4 days of vacation so we need to get to the hotel as quickly as possible. I don't want a cab line or standing in ride share an hour, get me to the hotel and let me drop off my bags as soon as possible!

Awesome that the Cosmo made it right - that is great service. Hearing this will get me to play more there in a few days. V&P, if it wasn't for the restaurant collection or finding some A/C while walking to the Wynn, there's no real reason to go in there.

I have not really been a fan of his for years. But he is a nice guy so I never complained. I did find out, however, that he used to be a host at Cosmo and was let go for being terrible. When I told my Cosmo host who it was, she got a horrified look on her face. So I guess I shouldn’t be surprised this happened.

Love your walking around pictures. Amalfi looks nice inside although I'm still salty that they took out Mesa Grill for yet another Italian restaurant.

 

Speaking of Italian, I ate at scarpetta last night. It was not good. Just a warning for others

 

I did catch the WDW report and pics. AWESOME! Still have difficulty getting a reservation for DL in Anaheim. Bummer about the rough start. Cosmo really stepped up. Look forward to the rest of your adventures in Vegas.

 

Before I finish rest of your TR I had to chime in - first you did perfect ...you tried (and YOU are the customer;which is unfreaking real from palazzo) to contact make every effort on your part and palazzo still managed to F Ed up...and absolutely they should have sent out uber x at least!!!! I think these people forget that they are in service industries I had my plenty of frustration with stupid people in service industry. ( do whatever it takes get you into their door).

Yeesh it is cold outside! I keep showing in Vegas when it’s unseasonably cool. Tried sitting on the balcony and froze. So now going to take a hot bath and get ready for dinner. Host got me a reservation at Beauty and Essex

To me, while not having car ride is bad, the lack of response from your host and VIP is worse. Especially VIP - guess your host could have been in a meeting or something. As someone who doesn’t gamble enough to make much of a difference to casinos, I applaud your taking your business elsewhere and your Cosmo host’s quick work on a busy weekend.

 

Thanks everyone. No truly exciting gambling stories. Last night and all morning was a steady climb upward. Then, this afternoon, I hit a bad streak. I was around even on the bac shoe I was playing when a pattern I lose on almost every time emerged. Three players followed by one bank almost always results in four losses for me. It usually happens a couple times a trip so it’s not often terrible. But this afternoon, it happened four times in a row!!! After losing sixteen straight hands, I had lost 23k at that table. Grrrrrr

I considered stopping. I was still well up overall. But that stung. Never seen that pattern repeat more than once. So I went up to Talon, took out a big marker, and got it all back after about a hundred hands. That session went well. It was steady and I won five of six times when I wagered a flag.

So maybe a little more gambling tonight. Or maybe not. It would be nice to hold onto my winnings until I return next weekend

 

Lol, I survived it’s a small world without the song getting stuck in my head. I do find myself, though, repeating the ghost host’s Haunted Mansion dialogue at will. But that’s just because I love that ride, lol, not because it’s that memorable (foolish mortals)
