Free from their slot app. It will be the only time I’ll get to use my points after the recent changes. Plus I might actually go to the pool since I probably won’t gamble there.

I'm booked for May 3-7 but have doubts things will be open then. I'll stay hopeful and monitor for another two to three weeks, then push back to a late May or June timeframe if necessary.

Since our schedules have been totally upended and appears our anticipated plans for daughter’s state soccer tournament may not happen, I booked some comped rooms at Delano for May 25-28. If there is some more solid assurance that things will be better by that time, I will then book a few comped nights at Red Rock and the flights. Hope to be able to meet up with you all soon!

Agree re: late May. Based on what we are hearing publicly about the virus' spread Memorial Day to me seems unrealistic. The strip could be "open" officially but not necessarily up and running with big pool parties, clubs in full swing, etc. etc.

There's also the issue to consider that even if the casinos could open, if it is takes X million per day or week for them to operate, would they still want to stay open if travel from the East Coast (especially the NY metro area), California, etc., as well as international travel, is still very light.

My guess is strip casinos are hoping to be fully up and running by Memorial Day but that could slip to mid-June/pre July 4th, but before the end of the second financial quarter.

I agree with Flowers. I'm about to give up on my May trip. I've made a back up hotel reservations at the end of June and one for Labor Day. We'll see but I don't have a great feeling :(

    Fingers crossed!

I'm going to piggyback on @Flowers post and say that I'd be incredibly astonished to see everything up and running by Memorial Day. Unfortunately, many states haven't yet or have been slow to do shutdowns. All that has done is push the date forward that we can resume our normal lives. I've been in quarantine since my return from Vegas Feb. 29th and expect to stay this way until mid June. My hubs works for the University system here and they have "shutdown" until June 15th and they announced this over two weeks ago.

I will always try to hold out hope, but don't let yourselves be disappointed again and again. I know after nearly a month in isolation it can get a little hairy keeping depression at bay. Let's hold our collective breath that more and more people practice everything we've been told and we get back to our new normal asap!

Damm, I believe a lot of you guys still have no clue about what’s coming your way and what kind of problems this thing causes... I really hope everybody stays safe and sticks to the lockdown over there ( think about your elderly) and don’t react too late too over there (which already happened I’m afraid).

I know you have to stay positive and hopefull, and so am I, but my hopes are set to travel again after the summer (for Europeans coming over again)

Oh, I think many of us do @georgesken, which is why I think VMBers are being more realistic about when we think things will be up and running. I live in Manhattan in NYC, have been in my apartment for 2+ weeks straight (starting before the government ordered it), with the exception of being outside 3x to grab groceries. The current NY order is open ended but I expect to not be leaving my building, except for essential groceries or wine, for at least another month and now the Governor of Florida wants anyone traveling from NYC to Florida to self quarantine for 14 days.

We changed May for September. Because swa is out that far. No confidence whatsoever. It may be available —safe (?) be but at what possible cost. We are flexible (in schedule-not so much physically) and chose September vs earlier and canceling / rebooking etc. If we have to rebook September we will all recognize the problem.

    Hopefully, finally !!!

Cancelling my end of May trip and rebooking for August sometime this week. Even if the Casinos are open, chances are that they might initially still limit big crowds at events effectively not allowing concerts or shows.

If end of April doesnt work out, I booked for May 13th to 19th...if April is open, my win/lose that trip will determine if I go in May...if April and May arent options, then Ill look at June and so on

I want to keep my May 29 - Jun 1 reservation, but I think I'll have a better idea if I'm keeping it or changing by the end of April. What I'm amused by, frankly, is that while my flight went down from when I originally booked for this duration (I cancelled it thinking I would rebook for the hell of it if the price went to around $200 roundtrip), the prices are starting to creep back up as of this morning (Southwest). Good luck to SW for thinking people will pay more for a flight when they're clearly not paying when the price was cheaper lol.

I have been watching flight prices and jumped on three. Usually Spirit, and Frontier are the cheapest out of IAH with Southwest then United being most expensive. I can only get off work for a long weekend so always pay a premium price which is around 400.00 to 450.00 round trip since I like to go on long weekends and holidays

With all of the free changes I began searching out of curiosity.

Had a trip planned for end of April but pulled the plus on that one.

    Booked United:

    Memorial day weekend 74.00 rt
    July 4th weekend 176.00 rt
    Labor day weekend 97.00 rt

Hopefully one or more will work out. Looking forward to seeing everyone back in. Vegas soon.

Canceled all Reservations today, nothing will be up and running correctly in May IMO.

Was pretty sure I wouldn't go, but airline cancelled flight down yesterday. So now all cancelled for early May. Next trip booked is for July. If that one doesn't go, there will be much bigger problems to worry about than missing one Vegas trip.
